This.I’m not sure I will ever get over the shock of the tire choice. The rake I’m sure has to do with aerodynamics and fuel mileage, etc, etc. The tires though, I mean come on. Man that one irritates me lol. My FX4 had factory “AT” tires….. had 3 flats on the same tire in 20k. Yeah they were a 6 ply. Nothing like spending 60k+ on a truck and getting $60 worth of rubber to rely on.
I'm drawn to two potential paths. 1) Live with the rake and be gentle on the tires for 20-30K miles then look at upgrades 2) Go upgrade out the gate and I'd lean towards putting in Icon front/rear, deaver springs and move to 35s. Hopefully someone on this forum runs out and starts modifying in the next 2 months before I get my truck so the feedback can drive my decision.
