Raptor to Tremor anyone?

The 402a package kills backseat room with the storage thing under the seat. I use that for cargo as needed and I put the seats up to let the dog ride in the back. I see nothing in there that makes me want to spend $11k on the 402a package, and it actually compromises space, so no thanks.
Kills backseat room? 🤔
Said pop up storage is removable if one doesn’t need or want it.

What does it look like when the storage is removed? I don’t believe it’s looks the same as oerdering without, at least as far as the carpet underneath the storage, but it was hard to find a 100% answer before I bought. If it can be removed and still look clean, that doesn’t change anything for me as I didn’t want to pay $11k for that package regardless.

Mine collapses into the floor. In that position it’s raised an inch or so but not anything that is considerable.

There are just a few holes in the carpet, the studs can be backed out from below the cab: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/under-seat-storage-removal.30105/#post-541415

I got good use out of mine, but have to pull it out now for car seats. Already have an underseat bag ready to go in its place.

Ironically I’d be happy to trade my step tailgate for pro-access lol
I'd trade mine but I read somewhere that it may take a whole bed swap. I think something is welded to the bed bottom to help secure the extra hinge :(

What I read may be incorrect. This is all I see the gate has and it’s bolted to the bed.

Yeah I haven’t studied it up close. I am curious on how transferable it might be though. They did change the stamping for the bed for 2024 so that might be a default extra bit regardless on 24+ but I don’t think the pre-facemelts had it. I’m betting eventually they’ll add the tailgate down camera next year. It went back to the drawing board because of water ingress issues on Super Duty and isn’t available on them at all right now. Both those features would be killer updates. If the 2026 got the projector headlights finally (I’ve seen seven prototype models with them pre-24 release) and that it would be tempting to trade in for. Android Automotive should be coming soon too if they don’t kneecap themselves waiting until P736

Edit: looks like it exists on our trucks already. I need to verify when I get a chance but that’s good to know. Part number is ML3Z99107B72A. Would make the most sense to not have any real differences from an assembly standpoint. If I can find the PAT I genuinely would love to try swapping.

Anyone who wants to get rid of that underseat storage box- shoot me a PM. Mine didn't come with it and I really like that feature.

I’ll take it off your hands 😉

Mine is a ‘24 and it was not an option but part of the 402a package.

What does the rear look like where you removed it?
Just carpet underneath

Yeah if its easily swappable, I’d swap my PAT for a powered tailgate with a step. Gotta be Iconic Silver though. Don’t want to pay for a respray

Are you sure it’ll bolt in?

I really like the 402a package although it is not worth the money unless you really want all the features. I can do without the safety features because I don't use them and eventually I am sure they will fail anyway. The tailgate I am on the fence about. Honestly I don't need the power tailgate or the pro access gate but I guess it is handy. The bed utility package is very nice, and the Torsen diff is a must have if you plan to use it off road regularly. I also like the front bumper that comes in the 402a as well as the B/O sound system. Getting employee pricing right now through ford makes getting this package a no brainer.

Why would the “safety features” eventually fail?
Which ones are you referring to?

Its been my experience that eventually there will be issues. Keep in mind that most of the features are dependent on the cameras integrated into the truck. For example I had a 24' Colorado ZR2 and the front camera behind the rear view mirror failed before it hit 10k miles. So when that failed it took out the font collision system and the adaptive cruise control. All of it is easily replaced under warranty but I would give up all the technology and go back to 1980's technology in a second if they still offered it. Its all nice to have but modern vehicles are just nothing but sensors and computer modules, and being in the IT field for the last 30 years I can tell you it all fails eventually........like most things I guess.

Oh btw, if you can get your hands on a leftover 2024, do it. Just saying lol
I did this. Found a used 24 with 2400 miles on it. I liked the button placement above the radio better, the power tilt/tele option was still there and the B-Pillar buttons are still an option.

My 22 is a 402a and I do hunt and take the family snowboarding and trips of that nature in my truck so I opted for all the bells and whistles and love it. It’s a pavement princess 95% of the time, but I want everything including the torsen. I plan on keeping the truck for a while I wanted as many options as possible to keep me from wanting to want to upgrade sooner lol.
