What's new

Raptor to Tremor anyone?

Mine is a 2022 with the 402A. I got the upgraded package primarily for the headlamps, and activated the glare free option. I understand those headlamps are no longer available. I do like the ventilated leather seats, but they don't work if you put covers on them because of your dog.... The big center screen is very nice. I like the Torsen front diff, even though it has been replaced twice on my truck. Back storage box is useful and lockable for firearm storage.

If I was jumping from a Raptor to a Tremor, I'd get the 3.5 and the 402A package, then add the performance upgrade chip.

I absolutely loved my Raptor- it is so far ahead of a tremor off road it's not even funny.

However it didn't tow well enough- the coil sprung 5 link rear that makes it incredible off road isn't built for weight.

Coupe tremors i've had since.

I switched from 2023 tremor to 2025 raptor. The differences are abundant. The raptor features and ride quality are above and beyond. I was completely happy with the tremor outside of the extremely soft rear leaf springs and rake. I made the mistake of driving a raptor and I was sold. Raptor handles bed payload much better in my opinion. Of course you can always add airbags. I only tow light trailers with the raptor and leave the heavy stuff to my F250 tremor.

Thanks for the responses and I'm still on the fence at this time and probably will just wait and see what 26 MY brings and then make a choice. Who knows though if I find a good deal on a 25 I might have to consider it.

If you seriously look for one, you will find one.

I need to get out and do some test driving of 25 MY Tremor, Raptor and maybe even RHO. Then maybe I can get out of my own head and make a damn decision

My 402a Tremor is the best truck I've ever owned. I like the fact its still small enough to get into a bank drive thru lanes and easy to get around parking lots. Also the front Torsen is a nice option to have.

looks amazing with that leveling kit... 3 inch coilovers? I'm considering a 2.5 level kit for my '24 but I'm worried it may affect the sensors for lane assist, blue cruise etc... I just started the warranty so I'm thinking i should wait the 3 years 36K... I just bought it new leftover stock at an amazing price and interest compared to the 2025's....

Don't forget about the center step that can be added. My 402A with pro access tailgate had the center step added from the factory.

Mounts to the frame next to the hitch and you kick it down and up as needed.

Super easy and you get the best of both worlds.

So I've had 2 gen 3 raptors and now a 24 tremor. I gotta say, the tremor doesn't really make me miss the raptors much. The rear suspension of the gen 3 is definitely better for ride quality, but the tremor can haul more and tow more, and it looks good, maybe not as good but I really dig the front end of the 24s so I'm happy with it. IMO, 402a is a must for the tremor. Torsen, 4A, leather, BO sound system, all amazing parts of the package, oh yeah and better bumper.

tldr; had raptors. Tremor make me happy

Welcome to the club and forum.
I think a pair of rear OEM wheel well liners should be your next purchase for your TREMOR. 🤣

My dad had a Raptor. Loved it. Loved that it kinda satisfied that "sports car" itch while still being a very functional vehicle for his usage. Unfortunately, the reduced payload and towing capacity ultimately ended up getting him to move to Tremor, which was more than capable when hauling feed, towing equipment, and getting out in the pasture. Doing it for looks - Raptor. Doing it for function - Tremor.

I just traded in my 2019 Raptor for a '25 402a Tremor and I am not looking back!
