What's new

RCI Rocksliders (Installed)

Can anyone provide photos to show how much step is there compared to the steps that come with the truck? Instructions look easy enough with some beers. Just need to determine if my wife can still use the step to get the kid into the car seat :D

It's about the same as what is on our trucks right now. Here is a picture from RCI's website:

Thanks, somehow I missed that.. yea I think ill go with this soon!
Are you wheeling your truck at all or are you just buying it for the looks? Doesn't matter to me just curious why you'd get rid of the factory ones.

I actually wheel the truck, and have already scraped the steps once or twice. Done some 4 rated trails etc.

I wanna see these bad boys sliding hurry up 😉

RCI's customer service number is on there somewhere, feel free to be a Karen for me to get them to hurry up lol

Reading them over when I was going to purchase.. I had the same thought.. and exactly why I was looking for youtube tutorials on this.

Yeah I abandoned the project for the night, will have to return to it this weekend with a beer or several lol.

Take notes please. I ordered a set and I’ll probably have questions for you.

Ok I lied the instructions are not that bad. I was just tired yesterday from writing code and being in meetings all day.

In any case, I think it helps to lay everything out and bolt things together to see how the parts fit before you install.

Once you see how everything goes together getting it on is much easier. There’s little to no guess work.

I’ll compile some new pictures for tips and tricks once I get it into a bigger shop. I don’t have the man power or proper tools to do it in my garage rn.

Massive improvement over the flimsy aluminum running boards.

Nice! Do you think they are wide enough to offer any paint protection from rocks kicked up by the tires?

100%

I took a picture to show the poke it creates. As long as you don’t have a massively negative offset, it’ll protect the rocker panels from rock chips completely.
