Sunroof rattle

Good to know. Thank you. I've used 303 products for plastics, and they have worked well.

I maybe the only one, but heard a rattle with bumps and when braking hard. Pulled the liner down some and stuck a magnet inside and found a not installed bolt. Once removed, all has been quiet for over a year.

I had no idea about sun roof maintenance program. I wish they would tell you this when you purchase. Thanks all.

All I can say is wow. I used 303 on the seals with the shop rag around a credit card trick to clean out the gunk and work the lubricant in.
But just that made it totally silent for about 2 minutes worth of effort.

If/when it does get noisy again I'll upgrade to the fancy lubricants

Hows that 303?

Hows that 303?

After a day and 10 miles of driving it seems better...

I'm not holding my breath it'll last forever, but it did take 2 years for the sunroof to get to the point where it really bugged me, so if i bought myself another couple of months I'll be happy

mine seems to be creak/poping from the front of the sun roof when hitting small bumps. doesnt do it when its open.

I brought my truck in to the dealer yesterday and they worked some magic on my sunroof - under warranty of course. The advisor said they removed the glass and lubricated the seals with Krytox.

It did make a huge difference especially after a few recent camp trips to the desert that got flour sand worked in to every nook and cranny.

So hopefully this lasts - but my advice to everyone is to take your truck in under warranty to get it worked on!

I did the same and they also applied krytox and rebuilt/adjusted/something the sunroof tracks.

No real change. Still makes a noise I don't care for when shutting doors. Better slightly I suppose. Worth a try I guess.
