Tracking Canadian Orders

Hi All,

Ordered April 12th in Hamilton Ontarion (Canada). Apparently all the tracking details available to US customers are not available in Canada? I've been told to check in somewhere in July for a VIN.

Assume this is normal for Canadians?

im from Hamilton as well i get my truck tomorrow. Finally after i ordered Jan 15, we should do a tremor meet up. Not many around.

Sounds good. Mine still still showing in production since Sept 14th. So we will see when it actually shows up. Congrats on getting yours after waiting for so long.

Got a call and they said i'm bumped to 2023, but no detail on any price protection or financing rate protection. They said I can opt out anytime and get my deposit back

You should have price protection and interest rate protection if you are in Canada. I was switched to a MY22 from a 21 and got it. For the interest rate if they (Ford Canada) advertise anything lower than what you made the deal with, you should get the lower rate automatically.

Just make sure you have a copy of your current deal and have it with you to compare at pick up. I received some additional rebates (my22 transition and another) that my dealer applied but didn't change my deal price (in the end I got them).

Thanks - hoping they protect my interest rate. Will be a huge factor for me as the truck is already at or north of my normal tolerance level.

Dealer has my order in and told me its getting built in Nov. Not sure what that means for delivery but maybe not 6+ months.

Also panicking about avalanche grey lol. Anyone see one yet? Does one exist? I hope it looks good, but it’s a big departure from Black and am not a huge fan of pure white so hoping it has a good bit of grey.

update to my truck coming to Hamilton Looks like it’s built but not shipped… we will see how long this wait is now. Not too upset with my progress so far compared to some other wait times we have heard about this year.

good stuff on your order. Am presently wondering if there will be a surge of available vehicles and coupled with the high interest rates and recession we'll see a spike in inventory. Feel like I might have an MSRP truck on finance at a high rate which might quickly be under water if we revert back to previous discount norms.

I was told in July when I ordered that I could have been at risk of having the MY22 turn into a MY23 and then the MSRP and likely the financing rate would go up. I hope my dealer will still hold the 2% rate they quoted in July. I also don’t feel like paying 8% on a new truck. Did you get a VIN yet or are you 100% sure you got pushed to 23?

They definitely moved me to 2023 as we worked up a new order and changed color. No VIN yet though they said "looks to be built in November".

80% sure I'm going to walk on this one as I expect they'll be 10k off in 12 - 18 months, but will see how they write it up for me and when it's available. Still really want it ;-)

Got a VIN a week or 3 back and the dealer got me a bit of price protection, maybe 4-5k CDN but in general the new financing rates were too high, and my expectation that the new car market will change pretty significantly in the next year or so if interest rates stay high and the supply chain issues begin to work themselves out.

In short, I had to cancel. Am thinking to look again in the summer and see where things are at, but slowly starting to see some trucks show up on lots so thinking I might be able to swing one off the lot and work a better deal.
