Transmission Pan Replacement

Unfortunately the shallow pan only holds as much as stock and the deeper adds 1.75 quarts more but from doing some research some guys don’t see much difference in temps from running either pan.
Either pan versus stock or between the deeper and shallower?

From the way I understand it between the deeper and shallower pan it’s only a 2-3 degree difference when hot and they both pretty much end up getting just as hot as the stock pan after driving awhile, they just don’t seem to heat up as quickly. I think the biggest benefit is the drain plug. I’m gonna go with the shallow pan, I don’t want to give up my raptor skid plate.

The cooler is what will control the temperature. The additional fluid won’t help. The longer amount of time it takes to heat up will translate into a longer amount of time to cool down. The pan design with different materials and fins etc can provide some additional cooling.
