It will an available upgrade. Current lights are compatible. Just would be an upgraded controller box.
What side vent lights did you end up getting? I’ve been looking for either side vent lights or a replacement side vent with a light up emblem…

The upgraded controller adds the start up animation. It’s up to you whether you need/want the animation. Cancelling your order and reordering wouldn’t get you anything different. The startup animation option would be an additional charge no matter what.

I went with the F150LEDS kit. Looks like an easy install. I’m gonna do it behind the vent grill. It’s a little more work, but I like the look better.
Any idea on cost at this point?
Also, does it need to be installed while the grill is apart or can it just be popped in if I decided to add it later?

no need to remove the grille. i replaced mine just going through the wheel wells and the new versions of the lights have longer cables so it should be significantly easier to access the plugs to disconnect the old box and reconnect the new one.

i don't know at this time. i'm likely going to need a break from making lightbars for a bit. and it will largely depend on the demand for them and if there are enough to keep the current price point.
if you do please let me know. i will be ordering one as soon as it goes live. i am getting my ordered truck this week, and would love one of the lights with the startup sequence.
Will this delay July pending orders? I'm holding on install of the Putco emblem, Custom Auto Raptor lights and Cobb accessories for the light bars to arrive.
It shouldn’t. I went ahead and placed an order for controllers yesterday. Even if I don’t get them in time, I’ll ship the lights with the original controllers. The controller swap can be done easily without removing the grille at a later time.
@Tremor14 Def better to wait to do everything at once, makes for a neater install and you only have to take that pain in the ass grill off once. You will be happy you did, and will love the outcome.
