2 sets are out in the wild and installed. Got some feedback that I’m trying to correct. (Think I have at this point) a third set is in the hands of a beta tester waiting to be installed. I have 2 sets ready to go. One is for @Cranbery. He’s supposed to be coming to visit me this weekend for install.@Cblaxx19 How’s the beta testing going?
I can’t sell something to people and have it die. I don’t want to be that guy. And replacing costs me money too, so it’s not worth selling something that isn’t up to snuff.Awesome! Just awesome! Love how dedicated you are to making a quality product
Are you referring to something like this?2 sets are out in the wild and installed. Got some feedback that I’m trying to correct. (Think I have at this point) a third set is in the hands of a beta tester waiting to be installed. I have 2 sets ready to go. One is for @Cranbery. I’ve been sticking lights in the freezer for a few hours then testing them trying to simulate cold weather and any water intrusion that might result in cooler temps shrinking the silicone I seal the leds with.
Also been testing some cool coatings that seal the pcb.
Thanks for being dedicated to this project! Can't wait to pick up a set from you!I can’t sell something to people and have it die. I don’t want to be that guy. And replacing costs me money too, so it’s not worth selling something that isn’t up to snuff.
It’s just taking extra time, so I appreciate everyone’s patience as I work things out.
Came out great. @Cblaxx19 did most of the work, but it's not a complicated install. Video to follow later!Just finished installing a set on @Cranbery ’s truck. I didn’t take any finished photos though. Was too busy test driving his livernoise tune. Hopefully he will post some pics later today. Was great meeting another forum member and talking trucks while installing.
Looks great. I would be interested....Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to create my own thread rather than burying updates in the “tremor specific accent lighting” thread.
When I first saw the tremor’s orange grille stripes, I immediately thought they would look awesome as accent lighting. So I set out to make it happen and this was the result:

I’ve been busy working on making my design something that I’m willing to provide to people. My current design, although effective, is rather rough around the edges.
I spent some time actually modeling a design, 3D printing it myself before ordering full size prints for fitment check. Seen here:

As you may notice, my newer design incorporates the same snap tabs to attach the strips to the grille that the trim pieces use.
I’ve also been working out the best lighting system and how to diffuse the light appropriately. So currently, I’m working with a supplier on a custom light strip that should provide a much more even light and also can function as a turn signal with sequential functionality(chasing lights in direction of turn).
At this point, I’m waiting on the first batch of production housings and the custom light strips to come in before sending the first few units out to some folks who have agreed to be beta testers. I’m hoping to do this by the end of august but it depends on how long it takes to get parts in hand.
Feel free to post any questions or comments and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
I’ve started working on a web shop to take orders through. I think I’m going to setup preorder batches of 25 sets to try and prevent myself from drowning in orders. 25 sets about gets the cost of the housings as low as it’ll go with my current manufacturing method.@Cblaxx19 Truly appreciate the diligence you are putting in to get this right and reliable before you go to market with it. I know many of us are patiently waiting for the opportunity to purchase when the time arrives.
Should we start a list of buyers for the initial production run so that you can gauge official interest and quantities to help determine production numbers and pricing on your end?
