Mine required no wiring or programming for anything. All buttons worked and paddles worked.
I was told it depends on which package your truck has.

for those that do not have heated steering wheel I wonder how difficult would it be to hook it up in my truck

Live around construction sites since I’ve had the vehicle. Might have been the extra dust and debris from that. Also Texas had a terrible green pollen season a month or so ago.

I concur, from construction sites, HWY35, and pollen: I need to change it 3-4 times a year to get good air flow and less smell haha

Dealer just installed the MBRP on my 5.0.. NO REGRETS!! Didn't want something too crazy. Video audio does not do it justice. Tips certainly are larger than stock too.
