What's new

šŸ› ļø What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

I started the process of installing sound shield mat in my doors and installing the door block off panels from MTI Acoustics. Finished the 2 front doors. So far, it does seem to have made an improvement to the mid level bass notes. I’ll report back once I get the rear doors done.

So following up on this original post.

I finished all 4 doors with the sound skins mat and MTI block off panels.

After driving around a bit, i definitely think it made a difference. I notice subtle bass notes more now. In general, music sounds crisper and a little louder at a given volume setting.
I’m not saying it made the 4 doors into subwoofers, but it made a difference to me.

I have no good data to back this up. I recorded some audio clips before and after but I don’t think my phone really captures the audio appropriately to use as evidence.

So this is very subjective, but I’m happy with the ~$300 this cost to do.

I'm already quite happy with how quiet the cabin is compared to my last vehicles, but do you notice an even quieter cabin?

It says this shock is for 4ā€ lifts …are we sure it’s fits okay? So I need anything else if I am running stock ?
The shocks match up almost exactly eye to eye with the stock.

@Cblaxx19, I am sure it cut down on road noise as well. You have a link for the block off kits at MTI?

Got my truck back after leaving it with my PPF guy. Did the entire front end to include quarter panels, the b pillars and the rear bumper and tailgate. I wanted it done in a heated space for the weekend. I went with the high end Xpel Ultimate Fusion, hard to tell from pics, bout wow, it pops. Truck is avalanche gray but looks white in these pics. Let all the add on installations begin, with the month of UPS & FedEx deliveries sitting in my hallway. BAK MX4 Tonneau is up first.

Did you link or detail out the parts you ordered from MTI? Is this a specific kit that they offer? I might be up for the challenge

With radio off, Did it also reduce any external road noise? Not that these trucks have a loud interior loud by any means ; but every little bit helps

Again, this is probably super subjective but I do think it cut Dow on road noise a little. But no data to prove it.

So jealous. But also so ridiculous they credit us $140 when this ends up being the total cost for everything. Wanna fly out to Pittsburgh some time and do another one? Haha.

Also curious you have bluecruise. I thought all 23’s shipped without that too.
Pittsburgh a bit too far for me, plus I hated removing all of the trim pieces on mine, wouldn't want to do that on another truck. Thought I was breaking something every time I pulled one. Luckily, only lost one clip during the process.
Correct, my truck only has CoPilot 360, but the steering wheel I ordered was Bluecruise compatible. Not sure there's any difference since it worked fine. Just thought options might affect the part #. Fixed the thread to make it clearer.

Yesterday installed 2" drop rear shackles, Tallon cat cover, and aimed fog lights up. Still looking for a place to mount my 28" air horn removed from my 2013 FX4 that I upgraded to the '23 Tremor. I will hang the compressor and air tank from the frame but have not found a place for the noise maker. Thinking in the engine bay (ecoroost) on drivers side of engine. build a mount for the engine lifitng bracket but worried it may be too muted in there. I run 145psi so maybe a viable location. on the FX4 it was cross ways infront of the readiato. Open to suggestions where there is space, truck is only a week old so I have nto had time to dig in deep around the grill area.

Finally got around to installing my Cobb brace on the intake and adding my Horsepower Zipties🤣

Qustion for the crew, ordered a Leer 100XL fiberglass shell s/b about 275 pounds, any idea how much it eill make the rear squat? Trying to gustimate where the leveing will be with the 2" drop I just installed + the shell weight. Hoping for 1.5" higher in the rear at teh end of the day

Finally jumped in to Forscan mods -
*Double honk delete
*Door ajar chime delete
*Fancy high beams
*DRL brightness to 60%
*Unreal screen theme / climate controls on screen
*Bambi mode

Researching a few more but those were the main ones; and getting rid of that double honk was worth the price of it all!!

I am thinking for the double honk alone I need to get on this.......
