Most of the falkens are built in Thailand not China, I know it's not much different, but they should have a pretty good stock here in the US as that's there largest market. Duratracks are good tires just a little weak on the sidewalks, but then again my only experience with them was when I was in the Army.

I'm on my 8th set of them, never had sidewall issues. I know many people who exclusively run them as well with zero issues. I'm not doing rock crawling, but had them in areas filled with boulders, volcanic rock and bitterbrush. The only flat I've ever had from them was a nail in the tread caused by some asshole who thinks it's fun to burn pallets in the mountains.

Have been getting very good winter traction in Colorado with the OEM tires and 4WD, no studs and no weight. As far as a factory installed tire, I have been happy with them so far.

@RotorHead695 I didn't have the same experience, we would constantly cut them down on range roads and construction sites, however that was early on when they first came out, plus I'm not certain what rating they were, they did excellent as far as mud while they were inflated.

@Djdj1000 I loved the tires in the snow when it was the grabber at2, haven't had these in the snow yet, as far as tires go this is one time I think Ford did alright, roush and Tuscany both spec these same tires now.

I need to correct something, apparently Tuscany no longer specs generals, so before I get slammed I wanted to correct that.

Also I'm not saying the DuraTracs aren't a good option just that I had very bad experiences with them.

I always run winter tires and with this truck, I had the dealership source 275x65x18 winters so I wasnt too far off a 33”. Pick my truck up monday. Will confirm

Good tires and 4wd… I’ve never felt the need to add weight. I’m in north central Wisconsin and we see our fair share of winter weather.

That's weird, the generals are prepped for studding, you can actually do it yourself, but once done that's all you can use them for. Here in TN the grabbers work great, but we get wet snow, as for ice they work ok but I personally think the falkens work better on ice.

I’m in Vancouver bc and I have Falken Wildpeak AT3s on mine. We have had about 3-4 snowfalls over the past few weeks and they have been fantastic with 0 weight in the bed.

It's the ice here in Calgary, these tires are useless on hard pack snow too. My aunt in Van has sent me photos, you have more snow than us haha.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm having trouble sourcing the 12mm Type H studs. Anyone know where to find them? I asked General Tire and they don't sell them...
