Did the swap on my 23. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade that seemed so subtle until I did it. Decided not to do the rubber boot either. Didn’t really make much sense as the forged hook fills up the space so well without it already

Outside of a different look / personal preference, I’m just not understanding how this is a worthwhile upgrade.

I mean, what can these do that the original ones can’t do.

I meant worthwhile more because of the look but I did like that they’re forged over welded. I wouldn’t say they can do more but I know Ford Performance opted switching to forged hooks for more than just the looks. Not to say the factory welded version was weak but it does add a nice detail to their mindset of off road ruggedness which I appreciated.

Form and function

Form, for me, I really wanted orange anything as the 24’ come black. Being beefy just a plus in my book

Function - I doubt there is a material break strength difference between either. I think what your attaching how is what matters. Soft shackle I’m thinking the beefy might be better with a larger bend radius. Hard shackle is interesting, not sure if a standard 3/4 would fit (?). I’m intending to use soft shackles so seems like a plus for my use case

Does your car go faster cause it’s blacked out? Or does it just make you happy inside?

I think the straight line looks cool because it’s inline with the orange stripe on the grill.

Only reason I wouldn’t do it is if I already had a dune flag that wouldn’t work with the new shape. But I don’t.

I must admit, big black and "beefy" is much better than "girthy", that would just cross the line...

And I already have my own big black beefy's to get rid of lol
