What's new

~1700 mile drive home!

I picked mine up in the beginning of December. it was 15 degrees and about 40 knot winds. I've no concept of what it's like, now.
Yeti the coldest he has seen in Miami is about 50 degrees probably.

I was going to say the same thing. For GOOD bbq you need to hit eastern NC.

BBQ is not a verb. No such thing as barbecuing a steak or having barbecue where you cook burgers and hotdogs. Using it that way always drove me nuts.

Fight me!
“Wrongl” :::insert Trump voice:::
In Texas, the bbq is so good we don’t have to mask it with bbq sauce.

Nice! I bet the ride is better than you thought

Indeed it is. No noise in the cabin really despite all the wind, and incredibly smooth/agile. They closed a highway and I had to take some backroads that were pure snow, didn't even look like a road. Even going uphill the truck didn't even flinch. Been in 4A the whole way.

The truck is filthy after 500 miles today in the snow on the highway and back roads lol, actually feels great to use it for what it was bred for.

I was skeptical about it being much different from my fx4 as far as ride goes, but it really is quiet and the bumps are so much smoother. I was amazed at the difference in 4 yrs Ford has made.

Peg leg porker in nashville, parking was tight but big girl fit
They make a bourbon that is pretty fair. Little sweet for my taste but I'll still pick up a bottle now and again.

Congrats Cranbery, truck looks great!

Can tell I'm back in South FL... get to 4WP and the guys like oh we don't install customer supplied parts but since you're here I guess we will. Like I called twice and no one said that, why would a shop like this not install customer supplied parts? I've never heard of that. Charge me OK, but to just not do it?

Then he says he's not sure if the tech is comfortable installing a dash cam, and I'm like dude it's a dash cam, and one of the most popular brands on the market, I'm sure you can handle it.

I get the quote, and they bill 3.5 hours to install the retrax cover. Which is insane, but I already drove an hour here so fk it. The one closer to me is rated a 3.4 and this one is a 4.2, can't imagine the 3.4 one. The guy that attended me did not seem enthused.

I hope they don't fk anything up. I know some people swear by this place, but first impression is I need to find a good shop for the level kit and rims because I'm not doing that shit here. $1200 to install a dash cam, a compressor, and a retrax cover. Talk about rape.

Do they supply lube or just do it dry?

I wouldn't let 4WP turn a wrench on my truck if THEY were paying ME.

And then the guy calls me to upsell me am ARB twin because he says the single won't really fill tires. Cmon guy....

The icing on the cake is that my UPS store didn't give me the 3 boxes for the retrax cover so they can't install it, which is a blessing in disguise. I'm just going to do that myself.

I did a retrax cover a few weeks back on mine. It wasn't hard, but it was finicky. Also the bolts seem long to me. I busted two during install because it contacts the bed and bends the bolt. I ended up buying bolts that were 1/4 shorter.
