What's new

2023 Orders

I had a 31oct blend, built since 11/02 and awaiting shipment. How do you know you’re on chip hold?

Because I work here. I can see everything. 2023 all new car manufactures do this on new Model year releases.

I can't tell you what's bs or not. As of 17:45 11/11/22 that's what I know. today is a uaw holiday and we didnt build one truck. Have you been on the forum long? We have waited 9 plus months tons of us. Before covid and the chip shortage your order would take 10-16 weeks depending on trim level.

I have, I just don’t understand why the tracker would say your truck is built and awaiting shipment if it’s not. What benefit is there to ford in lying?

I don’t know how to answer your question. It gets updated every week every 10 days every 14 days and we have all seen tons of different dates. Dearborn truck is a mess unfortunately.

I’m curious….10-16 weeks from what date? Order date? Built date? That’s what I don’t understand. If a truck isn’t 100% ready it doesn’t seem like it’s built, it seems like it would be in process. I appreciate your insight. I’m trying to see when I should start looking at financing but if I’m not really expecting my truck to ship on or about 11/19, why start getting credit inquiry’s

I went into my dealer today to get any information they had. My 23 AMB 402a was built on 10/26. I was told the build is complete. There are no holds and it is on ramp 59 awaiting shipment. I was told to expect delivery before the end of the month. Still... I'm not holding my breath.

@Lima12 I’d listen to him. He’s been super honest and helpful. From what I’ve seen over the last 7 months, it appears that Ford has tried different methods of status with regards to holds. Earlier in the year, they were ‘built’ awaiting shipping, then during the summer (July onwards) they just left them in ‘production’. I don’t envy anyone in these times, customer or manufacturer. There’s no way to appease anyone other than a bit more communication, which Ford could stand to improve. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine. Case in point, mine was held up for the fender badging. I have temporary black fender badges, yet people who had blend dates just a week after me have the tremor fender badges. It’s a crap situation that sucks for everyone.

10-16 weeks. Like 4 years ago. Pending dealership allocations. Believe what you want I have looked up 30 vin number for people on here plus I bet 20 built trucks from raptors to tremors for my self different parts of the country. I have learned a ton in 3 months on the whole process. I’m an employee and a customer myself. Not easy for anyone right now with an order. This is the worse time in history to order a vehicle. Period.

Has anyone else ordered a truck in the past 10 years with some insight? I have just went to the dealership where there has
been 20-100 f-150 sitting. “Take your pick”. Now they want you to order them and you have to worry about the stealerships being jack wagons when the truck finally shows up.

I trust @DHouse316, he has been nothing but up front, honest, and provided me greater visibility to my build than anyone else during the process. I took delivery on my loaded 402a today, 286 days after my order. The process is not fun but the wait was worth it, it's a beautiful truck. And to top it off my dealer was honest and honored x plan no questions asked.

You finally took delivery?! Congrats!! It was worth the wait for me too! Except that I can’t activate FordPass.

Mine shows as delivered to Granger as of yesterday. 11/1 produced date. I guess I got lucky on the options I chose and the rail/convoy stuff.
I picked my 22 up this morning from Granger and saw a couple 23s. Is yours an avalanche? Sweet color in person.

We had to work it a little bit with having the app open, start the truck, refresh the screen of the app on your phone in order to cycle connection.

Yeah… I tried a bunch of different things like that. I unplugged the TCU last night to let it discharge. Hopefully that will work.
