What's new

24 Tremor - BDS 6" on 37's - They said it couldn't be done...

Just seems like a waste on a tremor. But to each their own.
Agreed not everyone is into a lifted truck but your response doesn’t make sense either. He made his off-road capable vehicle even more capable. What doesn’t make sense is when people use the cheap level pucks on there tremor and lose that height in travel making it less capable.

For comparison and the presence this set up provides, here’s a couple pics of the rig next to a stock Tremor. (I do have to admit, my first choice in color was AntiMatter Blue but they didn’t have any in stock at year end when I needed to purchase. The black is pretty awesome though! View attachment 35908
Well I have the 24 Loaded with 4000 miles AntiMatter Blue , We can Swap ? LOL

No thread can be complete without the infamous question, “did you have to cut your crash bars?” Just kidding, nice truck brother!
Fortunately not on this one lol. That was a major concern around figuring out this build. With this set up and tighter wheel bs it was spot on not trimming.

...tempting

...perhaps I'm a bit too deep into this project already tho

Just installed the new AMP Research Vision Steps. Pretty cool set up and ease of integration including the app and programming. What's surprising is the initial reaction to their depth, drop, and width of steps. I'm canceling the perpetual backorder on the XL's as I think these are plenty even on the 37's.

I just need it to get dark for some cooler photos tonight. Hopefully the weather holds. It was spitting rain last night which made it really tough as the lens kept getting wet and ruining the focus... 😫🌧️

@BackCountry_ADV Great work, glad someone is trying something different on their tremor.

Just curious, have you considered long / mid travel over a lift? It’s more expensive, but the reward is worth everything you put in it.

Full disclosure: not a super big fan of lifted trucks, especially ones made for offroading. I think the same thing can be accomplished without sacrificing the aspects of the vehicle that matter most.

Looks awesome though, I will say I don’t like that Ford made it so hard to fit 37s. My friend has a Tundra and he can tuck those with minimal trimming. I’d have to invest in long/mid travel and or lift mine to fit them. Stupid design and hopefully ford recognizes and addresses this in the future.

I bet you are !! That's one Bad Ass Looking Rig !! You bring it to Florida and We will go get it Stuck !! If I didn't pay so much for mine . I could put that into mine. I don't think I would go but 3" lift though !! Bad Ass Rig, You have. Love it ! Bill

Much appreciated brother! For this particular build I didn't necessarily need long/mid travel but I did need some clearance and articulation for some of the task I built this truck to accomplish. I also need to keep it in a suspension that will allow heavy bed loads and some towing from time to time. That typically doesn't mix well with the more off-road oriented set up for mid/long travel. Lastly, I like to daily this rig. The interior appointments and creature comforts are what I enjoy along with the ability to carry/load/haul a lot of stuff for our Real Estate projects.

Having a purpose built Jeep Gladiator with Clayton Off Road's Overland Plus kit and 37's get me covered for anything that would require a longer travel set up.

Cheers and thanks again. It's been a dream build for a F150 on 37's.

ok, couple quick pics of the new AMP Research Vision Steps. Still Tweaking the lighting colors in the app but it's pretty darn close to the side vent lights and side markers in Amber. I dig that you can alter how and when they light up. From additional DRL style lighting with them on with the Key-On or running them at night, they add a tremendous amount more visibility in all weather conditions.

Super Happy thus far. I'll attempt to get some sunset photos if the weather clears up. Currently blowing dirt and overcast. Mother Nature definitely doesn't get that we need pics of all this cool gear for the interwebs :p. They definitely add to the perspective of massive ground clearance!

P.S. I'll get some measurements with them deployed as well.

Tow hooks are a Ford Factory Part number for Orange and run about $180-$200. I just searched the forums and found a few guys that had done it as well. One listed part numbers which helped. I’ll save you the searching:

F-150, 2024-2025, Active Orange Tow Hook - Forged Steel - With Modular Bumper Part Number: RL3Z17N808B
Nice...thanks. Although I notice that you have the modular bumper....I have the standard bumper and apparently these hooks won't fit the standard. Bummer...

I am so glad I found this post. I have been looking at a few ditch lights for my 2024 Tremor and am not finding anyone who will guarantee that they work for the 2024 Tremor. I have a pair of Diode Dynamics ditch light brackets that push up against the fender when I installed them, so I looked into the ones you installed and will try them next. Any issues with installing them so they had enough clearance from rubbing against the fender wall?

I recently acquired a new 2024 F150 Tremor after having had a run of Platinums and King Ranches all on BDS 6" Suspsensions and 35's. I truly love the more aggressive factory look with the Modular Bumpers, Dual Exhaust, Hood Vents, etc. However, when I dove into the research for F150 Tremors on 6" suspension or 37's in general I was shocked to only find one 23 here on the forums. I called BDS directly and was promptly informed the 4" kit was all they offered.

Coming from a background of building and driving 1,200-1,500 HP Race Cars for the street and never leaving anything mechanical alone (trucks, jeeps, dirtbikes, motorcycles, cars), this was not the answer I was settling on. I dug deep into more research, and finally ordered the BDS 6" kit, which clearly states it won't work on the 24+ Tremors. Challenge accepted. I partnered with Hammer Performance, a local automotive performance shop that has done my last dozen rigs. Last week we decided to "full send" the Tremor Project with a couple pallets of parts on the ground and a "no fail" attitude. This is the result. Hopefully it answers questions for those seeking similar mods and builds. Happy to answer any questions based on our experience with this project. Zero rubbing even at full turn and articulation. Alignment was spot on as well. Driveline angles check to be inspect and plenty of clearance all around. No Trimming Required on this specific set up and backspacing/tire size.

Lots of Suspension and Tires you got there! Quite an impressive build.

What Gear Ratio did you go with in the Axles to match the much larger 37” tires?

Looks great for a big lift! I wonder if (with an ADD bumper (way more tire clearance), would it fit a 39" BFG?

Factory 3.73’s with the 3.5 L EcoBoost

Pretty near perfect with the 10sp.

Not likely, you need a fender job to fit anything larger than a 37 on a lifted F150. Ask me how I know lol.

Pending the actual version of ADD the factory 24+ shares the Raptor style modular style bumper which is nearly the same as the std ADD bumper. Doubt 39’s would clear but I’ve been offroad and no clearance issues with the 37’s. For a street application, 39’s might work

Wow 3.73s with 37s? Make sure to do a transmission service and differential service early, I’d say 20-30K miles.

No clearance issues at all. The SDHQ’s are super solid. Love them! I’m waiting on my front bumper brackets to add a few more lights there. Same company.

I'm not sure what Gear Sets are available for the F150 Tremor Axles but going up to a 4.10 or a 4.30 Gear would make a huge difference. You'd have a completely different truck and gain back a lot of performance that was lost.

My F350 Tremor with the 7.3L has the Factory 4.30 Gear and 37s which is a good combo.

My Raptor Bronco has the 3.0L EcoBoost and factory 4.70 Gear and Factory 37s.

Something to consider.
