Apologies to anyone hearing a persistent faint choir of angels.

not on the strictly performance tune but that’s what I’m waiting on an answer for. Hoping the tune only applies to normal driving mode which would leave towing as an option without flashing
Do they provide a few options of tunes, or can you ask for the type of tune you're looking for?

You can ask. They’re not very clear with what all you can ask for which is my only real complaint. Well and They were super responsive with sending the tune file but very slow to respond to my further questions.
 
That's awesome tell hear! Glad you're enjoying it. And for anyone not aware, this tune can also go back to stock with no trace. The only thing it changes is the start count: which is reset to 0. So essentially, just turn it on and run around a bit and turn it off a few times before taking it to a dealer to look at and they can't tell at all. They have exclusive access to a lot of Ford ECU information.
This answered one of my ?'s so no issues with having a warranty claim if transmissions drops. I was looking at getting extended warranty and didn't want to get this and have warranty voided.

That's what I was thinking so you would want a performance/towing if you intended to tow 6k plus on a regular basis.
It means I have a lot more experimenting to do as well. Eco mode is now a viable option. I actually almost prefer its slight reluctance to drop out of 10th gear if I'm just adjusting a couple mph along with traffic. I haven't even put it in sport mode yet.

Oh and dragy update: Getting good data is hard. I thought I had finally found a good stretch of road to get numbers. Results invalidated due to some tiny % of elevation change.

That and this thing makes a big fucking scene if I get on it. Shifting into 2nd and 3rd involve a lot of noise and traction control. I need fucking 4 auto and front torsen. Going to have to practice locked diff 4wd launching 🤣

You can launch in 4h with the locker, the locker will disengage at I think 20mph, there's a guy on you tube who has a 2017 5.0 supercharged that launches in 4H with locker on and regularly runs 9second 1/4 miles. So it's perfectly doable to launch that way.
 
Dammit, the more I read this the more I think I need this. One of my original questions was whether or not it required an additional screen, good to know it's not a necessity.
 
Pretty sure you’d have to do a full flash procedure. The double edge to doing a thorough tune I guess.
How long or difficult is the full flash? I love everything about this, but I don't like th idea of not being able to tow above 6k without fully changing the tune. Kind of feels wrong on my 402a with toe package.

You can flash back to stock if you need to tow or you can get a performance tow tune from some tuners. My experience with tunes is they take a matter of minutes and are rather simple to execute.

Once you get it down it’s really not a big deal. It’s just not pushbutton.
