Concerns: Auto Spring 2” Level Kit

Well, I’m sitting here hoping that when Eibach created the 2.7” lift springs they were 100% ok with the angles that it created and therefore you don’t have anything to worry about. Nothing like the fear of screwing up a brand new truck. Part of the reason I haven’t tried selling my factory grabbers yet.

Well, I've removed the AS 2.0 kit and have now installed the AS 1.5 kit. My knuckle is still hitting the coil and the CV is still touching the strut at full droop. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what is happening here. I’ve resulted to researching the OEM suspension parts to be sure I got the correct components installed on my truck. I’ve compared photos on this forum and I believe that I have the correct struts. I’m now trying to determine if my upper and/or lower control arms are correct. Could anyone help me verify these part numbers??

The Auto Spring site has listed a specific tremor kit now and breaks down what is difference. They specifically say they designed it with an offset to prevent the issue you are experiencing. I actually bought the regular 2.5 kit and realized I got the wrong one when I took it in to get installed today.

The 2" kit I installed was the offset "Tremor" kit. I have also been in constant contact with Kevin at Auto Spring about the issues I'm having. Review previous posts for the complete story behind the mess I'm in. Thanks for your input.

Man, this is frustrating. Heading out to take some pictures of my UCAs.

Well, that was a bust. I have no markings on my upper or lower control arms

Would have been interesting on how they looked before installing. Looking at the pics, it just seems like the changes caused by the kit shouldn't lead to the level of issue you're seeing. Similar to your thought process on did you get something put on your truck out of the wrong parts bin, what did the CV/Knuckle/Strut clearance look like before you did anything?

Thank you for your effort. These part numbers are stamped on the bottom side of the control arms. I had to get on my back and crawl under the truck in order to get those photos.

CV/Knuckle/Strut clearances (at full droop) were good before installing the kit. Auto Spring is convinced that one or more suspension components are not correct (control arm, knuckle, or strut).

When removing the AS 2.0 kit to install the AS 1.5 kit, I was able to confirm that the parts in both kits are correct. The frustration continues...

Just a guess but I would say your uca would be the culprit, if I get time tonight I'll see if I can find numbers on mine.

🤞 Thanks in advance! I'll try to get the knuckle part numbers posted on here too. Thanks again.

Your numbers you posted for struts, LCA'a and UCA's match my truck.
Thank you. I guess it’s good to know that those parts are correct (even though the frustration continues).

Can I ask one more favor? Could get anyone to check the knuckles 😬?

I really appreciate all the help. If all else fails, at least we have compiled a parts list for the OEM suspension components 😂

If it wasn’t raining I’d help you out on this…I’ll check in the morning if no one else has beat me. I got all the same clearance issues with my 2” readylift kit.

So… I just jacked up both front tires and have some new concerns. At full droop, the knuckle hits the spring and the CV boot hits the strut on both sides (see photos). I don’t think I can sleep knowing that these clearance issues exist. I either did not get the 2” kit that I ordered, or I just need to remove the AS kit and look at other options. Just wanted to share my findings.
This is the norm unless running a full coilover and UCA’s. The boot rubbing will still be there at full droop and at that angle you will trash your CV’s if wheeling hard in 4x4 Anyway. I’d run it unless you’re running it through the whoops like a Baja truck. Going full compression to full droop constantly. It’s the price you pay for running a puck. Limit straps or diff drop is the only way to fix the drooped out clearance issues. UCA’s will fix the knuckle clearance problems.

I am at 41in front, 42.5 rear with the 2in AS kit after everything settled.

I've confirmed that my suspension components are correct. I've bugged Kevin at Auto Spring quite a bit and had a reputable shop look over everything. Alignment has been done and torque specs have been verified. It seems everything is within spec and I'll just have to live with the clearance issues at full droop until I can afford a coilover system and a new UCA. Until then, I'm really happy with the height and current stance of the AS 1.5 inch kit. I am at 40.25 inches up front and 42 inches in the rear (1-3/4" rake). These Tremors have some extra squat in the rear so I like having a little rake to handle my boat and any other load I want to throw at it.

Thanks for all the help everyone (y)

Did you use the standard f-150 1.5" kit or is there a tremor specific 1.5" kit I am missing? Curious because I was on the fence of the 2" tremor specific kit being too much for me personally.

Auto Spring does not have the 1.5” Tremor kit on the website, so Kyle had me order the 2” Tremor kit and email them to specify that I wanted the 1.5” kit. However, I believe that the Tremor kits and F-150 kits are the same.

My 13yo son and I installed the 2" Auto Spring leveling spacers on Saturday. Before, I had a 3-3/4" rake and I liked the idea of the 2" kit so I could maintain a 1-3/4" rake for towing our boat as well as keeping the CV angles to a minimum. We just got it back from having an alignment done and one the way home I drove the truck over some railroad tracks and also drove it slowly over a curb to be sure the suspension had a chance to settle. I was surprised to see the final height measurements. My rake is now sitting at less than 1.25" which means that this kit gave me a front end lift of at least 2.5". My front end is measuring about 41" which is much higher than I wanted. I've been emailing Kevin @ Auto Spring Kits and he is assuring me that the parts could not have been packaged wrong and that I did in fact get the 2" kit that I ordered. Has anyone else experienced anything like this??

FWIW, I lowered the back of truck today by 1.25" and the front subsequently rose by just over 0.25". Which leaves me just under 3" of rake - looks much better.
