Current Mileage & Updates from some of you OG's

How's the eibach 2r? Mine go on Thursday morning. Was there enough lift in the front to get you level or close to it, without being a super harsh ride?
They did exactly what I wanted. They’re not Kings or 8112s or Fox 2.5s but all of those cost at least twice as much so it’s apples and oranges. They’re more controlled than stock and the softer springs on the front make up for any digressive tuning to my butt. I left them at factory setting which brought the front up almost exactly 2”. That still leaves me with slightly over 1.75” of rake which is hilarious. And reservoir rears look cool, I can admit that’s why I spent the extra few hundred on the R.

Keep in mind another nice thing about these is they’re adjustable on the truck without a spring compressor if you want to tweak them yourself. I’ve kept mine at 2” because it looks great and feels good, I’m at like 15K miles and if I blow a CV joint before 50K miles maybe I’ll lower them down a half inch. It’s nice knowing it’s not a big deal to do.

So you decided?
Very cool.
I’m sure you’re looking forward to see how they feel compared to stock.
Looking forward to reading your comments.

Yes. My app says the remedy is now available.... Need to do it next time it's in. Hope it solves the CONSTANT freezing and rebooting on startup
I guess they’re doing it via VIN because mine doesn’t say anything about a remedy.
With that being said, I’ve never experienced any of the mentioned issues so I’m happy to leave it as is.
Reminds me of the door issues and wire issues some F150 owners were having in the winter time back in 2015-2017.

Even though I was supposed to take my vehicle in for the recalls, I never did because I never had any of the issues.

2023 Mexican (Lobo) Tremor
31k kms (19,200 mi)
Kilometers in Mexico are pretty much the equivalent to miles in the States. Kinda like dog years.
I was just noticing my trip computer the other day.
Average MPG over the last 10,000 kms (6,200 mi) is 7 lts/km (16.46 MPG)

Problems:
Major one is the driveshaft clunk. So far has to be greased every 10,000 km.
Also had the turbo actuator something or other go out. Covered under warranty.
And the battery which the dealer always says checks out to be "within spec". I am sure that this coming February when it is out of warranty, it will test to be bad.

To do list:
Ford tune
Katskin covers
Shocks

Have not seen the entertainment screen recall notice. Probably will ignore it anyway. Mine is fine and I Forescanned the infamous black box out of the view. Hate to have the update done and go back to square one.

And who you calling old? Now, get the fuck off my lawn! ;)

I don't have the specific issue described but I'm using it as an excuse to get module updates done hassle free. Hoping it remedies other things. My infotainment often freezes and black screens and reboots on startup.

The shop im working with (Battle Born Offroad in Las Vegas) took a look at my truck when I brought it in and said it looks like 2 inch pucks stuffed in there right now. So I'm hoping removing the pucks, and the dead shocks, and going to the 2R kit puts it exactly at the same stance. If it's too low I am going to see how they feel about putting the pucks back in, and lowering the Eibach setting so it sits good. We shall see. Anything will be better than 50k miles blown oems! And the reservoir does absolutely add cool points!!

I enquired also about Fox and King and the 8112... The guy at battle born said he has the fox and likes them BUT all those types using a spherical joint, while it's cool, it's prone to making noise and rattle and squeak even when they're in good shape. He said requires frequent greasing and fiddling with. If I want it quiet he absolutely regarded the eibach as having a great ride quality and less fiddly. Still a very capable shock system.

23 37k miles.

So far I have had:
-the driver seat bottom seat cover replaced for a tear at 8k miles
- transfer case replaced at 22k
- rattle in dash below steering wheel at random fine some days rattles others
- driver window shakes slightly in the wind at freeway speeds when cracked or half way down.
-tsb to have my rear leafs lubed due to rear end squeak leaving every light or going over speed bumps.
- replaced passenger wheel speed sensor but that was my fuck up after installing the king coilovers.
- need to go in for slip yoke lube, told them about it before warranty expired and they refused but it lightly thumps coming to very slow stops just like my 04.
- also need to get a new batt. dealer refused batt replacement even though I have like 30 messages from the app of low power mode. “Battery passed the test” 4 times now..

Mileage before the 35s was 17 around town and 21 on road trips. Post coilovers and tires, 15.5 around town and 18 on roadtrips if you keep it at 68.

Would I drive anything else? Nope!

Sitting around 53k right now in my 2022. Minor things like window bounce back, that B&O high pitch crap, and now just recently the seat restraint indicator.

Solid otherwise. Overall just an amazing truck.

Was wondering what you other OG tremor owners have on your truck mileage wise and if you've had any issues?
First off , I'm Slow at times ! What's OG mean? 24 Tremor just turned 8000 miles, had the glass replaced in panoramic sunroof, leaked like a waterfall. Other than that nothing wrong so far. Only really use my truck to go hunting back and forth. I did swap to 20" rims on 33'1/4 tires M/T ! Getting ready to buy a extended warranty through Ford. Does anyone know who the use ? And the best one to get for the Tremor! I want everything covered , Help.

Get the extended warranty for as long as you plan to keep the truck, and get the lighting coverage. User on this forum @zach@granger is the ONLY place to buy from if you want the best deal.

Tell me about the rattle below the steering wheel?? Mine has something loose too, almost sounds like a wire bundle/connector that has come loose.

I have an appointment tomorrow for the rattle in the dash by the steering wheel area, same symptom as yours. I told them also about the low speed thump with the transmission and mentioned greasing the slip yoke. And finally, the stupid screen update for reverse recall that I have never experienced. I will mention the rear window rattle from bass at times and the rattle in the sunroof when closing the door when it's cold. I will update what, if anything, they find in the dash rattle.

So they greased the splines on the drive shaft, couldn't replicate the dash rattle (shocker) and the rear view camera recall update did not pertain to my current version of Sync so was not necessary. You would think Ford would be smart enough to validate the Sync update version for the recall before telling me I have a recall but then again that requires a certain level of efficiency they clearly do not have. They need to insist on the highest standards, SMH.

As someone in tech, their software management / versioning / QA etc etc is a straight up F grade. My whole team would be out the door if we put out junk like that.

Currently at 90k only issue was for the EIWE, they replaced it twice, then because they didn't do it right they had to do the whole hub as well. Other than that zero issues.

2021 401A purchased in October '21. 74k and no issues!

I get out and do things with my truck, from camping to mountain biking and traveling (Its been to 47 of the 50 states) . Its not a garage queen that sits at home and only used for "special occasions" or to go camping or weekend use only. Most my miles are highway miles, Don't know what the "OUCH" was for. Its a truck drive it, no need to coddle the thing.

Embarrassed to state, but my 23' Tremor has more Mods than miles 😂 with only 6,486.

Lotta butt time in the seat that's all! Glad it's getting you where you wanna be!
