What's new

F150 Tremor FORScan

So I've been driving my '23 around for the first time. It's not nearly as annoying as my '18 was. No horn honk on lock and the start up chime isn't bad. What would you change on a '23 in for scan? I guess Bambi light mode would be good and the auto spot high beam thing. What else?

I was watching a youtube video by Tremor Trails and the guy said he might have heard there is now an IOS version of forscan. Does anyone know if that's correct?

@robb or others,

Would love to have Nav In Motion enabled, for nav search while vehicle over 5mph, but more for access to USB (music) content while driving. Have seen some mention online of altering the APIM 7D0-02-01 field to 5753 **** ****, but wanted to inquire here first. Also seeing some mentions of KIP error afterwards?

Highly appreciate any expansion of topic before I make any changes.

Does anyone know if you can use Forscan to enable 12V on the 7 pin trailer connector while the vehicle is remote started? I’d like to be able to use interior/exterior lights on my cargo trailer which are fed from the 12V line on the truck. Works fine when ignition is on but remote starting the truck would be easier and potentially safer.

Anyone? Bueller?

Auto industry: You don't get a CD player anymore. Here's a USB port instead.
Me: Thanks.
Auto industry: Oh, and you can't use the USB port. Unless you're stopped.
Me: Thanks......

I have made a few FORScan mods to date and have been testing additional mods for the Tremor specifically. I have enabled the digital gauges, bambi mode, auto start / stop disable and most recently enabling Glare Free / Adaptive driving lights.

I have completed the testing and confirmed error free operation for the glare free / adaptive adaptive beams. For those not aware the 402A (sorry everyone else) is equipped with adaptive driving beam capable head lights. Unfortunately they are disabled in the US trucks due to some outdated laws manufactures are limited by. Our friends in Canada and Europe get the more advanced system active by default, while we are stuck with auto high beams instead.

This is a slightly more complex FORScan mod due to multiple modules involved, but fairly simple once you are familiar with FORScan. Please backup you modules before making changes!

For those interesting in enabling this cool tech here are the as-built changes required (402A ONLY):

In the list below do not change the values in your as-built represented by "x"

Glare Free Menu (replaces Auto High beam) in APIM:
7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx
7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx
Note: a module reset in FORScan or power cycle is required for the menu to appear.

IPMA
706-01-01 xxxx xxx9

SCCM
724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx

IPC
720-01-01 xx8x xxxx
720-10-01 xxxx xxx3

HCM
734-01-01 xxxx xx01
734-01-02 x3xx xxxx
734-01-04 xx53 4E
Hmmm… I have a 2022 Tremor here in Canada with the 402A trim but it does not have ADB enabled if it is so equipped. The lighting settings only allow me to switch auto-dimming on or off. 🤔

Sorry late to the party.

It’s possible by changing the location code (from what I understand) but it comes with a bunch of additional issues making it impractical. Long story short the nanny systems are difficult to impossible to defeat at this time.

Starting in 2022 they stopped enabling glare free (ADB) in Canadian F150s for what was rumored to be an expected part shortage. The shortage never materialized so you should be able to enable it via forscan.

It has worked for the numerous other F150 owners that have tried Canada and US.

I highly recommend the change.

Can someone tell me the coding for increasing the lane change blinker count. My understanding was 724-01-01 - xxxx xAxx xx should have given me five blinks. It did not. It went down to two. My initial letter was a C. So I tried G and it gave me around ten-twelve blinks. I went back to C and I still have at least 10 blinks. Hoping someone can tell me the coding for five or six blinks so I don’t have to reload the as built and start over since I added heated steering wheel.

I have not seen this actually solved yet. I went to 4 on my '17, and this is the last Forscan change I still want to make.

Well dang. It’s the last change that I also wanted to make. At least out of everything I’ve come across thus far. Hopefully someone has it figured out by now. At the very least, I can tell you how to get a lot of blinks. :ROFLMAO:

Where did you see those values? These are the values I used to get 5 blinks.

I watched a video on YouTube, Ricardo’s Workshop I believe. I looked at livinitups excel sheet but couldn’t find anything regarding the blinks. Where did you find these values?

Where did you find these values?

On the SCCM page from Livinitup's Google Sheet. Though it looks like the section is missing from the current version. I have an older version I maintain that has my own edits and notes. That's where the table above is from.

EDIT: Also, as someone just pointed out in a similar discussion on Gen14, for this it's easier to use the Plain-Wording configuration.

Anyone get the message forscan doesn’t recognize the vehicle? My truck is pretty new but seems odd.

I had that and needed to download the beta version. Scroll back some pages and there may be a link.
