F150 Tremor FORScan

You'll love Glare Free!
OK i gotta say, I'm a little hesitant. One, because its a good handful of line changes, more opportunity for error. Two, because man, the "regular" modes and auto highbeam are so good anyway. These are the best headlights I've had on a vehicle in a looooong time (had some excellent HID projectors on a BMW back in the day) and I'm kind of in the "if it ain't broke" type camp....

Also hello Vashon, from Snoqualmie valley....

Back at ya! We should meet up sometime and get these trucks dirty.

Keep your eyes peeled for a leveled agate 402a with bright ass DRLs and say hello! Has anyone done a PNW meetup yet? New thread /hijack

So, I did a bunch of the common Forscan changes this last weekend, everything worked except the Glare Free Headlights, (the change I wanted most). I went back and reset the APIM module multiple times and checked and re-checked all of the required Forscan entries and I couldn't find any errors, but still no GFH. Anybody have any ideas for me to try???

You have the correct headlights?

Can you override the glare free with pushing the stalk to activate high beam? I live very rural so sometimes I want as much light as possible, regardless of speed or conditions
I discovered something about the Glare Free Headlights over the weekend. If you manually turn on your headlights the high beams work like normal. Push on/Pull off. No Auto anything.

Excellent observation thank you

Anyway to disable tpms alarms? also reverse braking not available display?

I read through this thread, and also the spreadsheet, maybe I missed it....is there a way to change the number of turn signal flashes when the lane change is activated with the stalk? On my 2018 I had it do 5 flashes instead of the OEM 3, with a trailer it did 7. Was much better for lane changing.
It is disappointing that the values on the gauges can’t be added to the 8” screen. But that’s a minor gripe LOL.
Thanks!

Yes, you can. I can't find it at the moment though.

Yes, you can. I changed mine from 3 to 5. I can't find it in the documentation at the moment though. Look for lane change indicator.

Ok thanks, I will go back through and look again…..to be honest, I was a couple bourbons in when looking the other night. 🥃🥃

Strongly recommend only making FORscan changes mostly sober!

Sorry late to the party.

It’s possible by changing the location code (from what I understand) but it comes with a bunch of additional issues making it impractical. Long story short the nanny systems are difficult to impossible to defeat at this time.
@Robb1 or others, as the nanny features seem hard to beat directly, to unlock the Nav search and USB library while driving, do you know if there is a way to permanently make the truck think there is a passenger in the cab, so the radio will simply confirm that you are the passenger who is navigating the menus, indirectly unlocking them?

How the system works is the PCM has a dedicated speed signal sent through the main gateway module which then spiders out to all the various other modules. The full bypass would be a spoof of that signal which would basically require an entire pass through harness to the APIM with that one single signal wire being intercepted and spoofed. I believe this has been done on past vehicles. But the gateway module is an added security step and might be the hang up here.

I have never checked if the OCS module is even addressable but the sensors that are responsible for determining presence in the seat are there. Maybe something as simple as a jumper could be a solution? I’ve never had to look into this. Sadly, as was noted, the region change in the APIM causes relatively annoying losses.
Appreciate the reply and details, @ThickGatorade . Not super savvy on electrical/auto modules, but following the rough logic. Was hoping solution would be something I could toggle, ha, but guess that would be too easy. Up for jumper wire, if anyone has messed with and can advise. Thanks again.

I added 50/50 view and 50/50 view at speed to my Tremor last night. As far as my truck I only had to add the soft buttons to the APIM. It might require a change the IPMA though so follow up if you have issues.

Also I got rid of the black box when you select the rear camera while driving. This is credited to the F150 Gen 14 forum via Livinitup and antho
