So the wheels and tires don't count a width?

Offset only refers to offset from centerline. The stock rims are not 9 inches wide (7 if I recall?) so the rim width adds on top of the increased offset. There's calculators out there that you can plug in the sizes and see the difference and where the rim lip will land etc etc.

Point being, I'm considerably wider than stock.
