What's new

Ford is now dropping the connected navigation and Sirius/XM on F150s ?

Found the communication full text. Man, worse than I thought. Connected Built-In Navigation being stripped where not included in the trim (502a+ keeps it), even if you had Assist 2.0. Glad my truck is built...

That's pretty bad, particularly removing Assist for anything below 502A (and hopefully exclusive of 402A as the Order Guide suggests). Also ambiguous since I don't believe you can even get Active with those Equipment Groups, could be wrong.

@zach@granger Has your dealer interpreted or received guidance on this as applying to 402A as well?

Everyday I'm more and more glad I decided to take mine instead of ordering. These are strange and tough times, the insanity is at an all new level.

Am I reading correctly that everything included on Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 is now removed?

Since 402a has Assist 2.0 included in the trim level, so it's not an option, It looks like it's fine.

When it comes to the Tremor I see more 402a's than anything. Kinda like the Raptor, I have yet to see a 800a anywhere, they are all 801a's. Helps them sell the $13K upgrade and get more trucks out the door I guess.

So as a 401A order with Assist 2.0 option added, I'll be losing those features.

Awaiting confirmation from my dealer for official verification, but this is probably the nail in the coffin for the time being.

Not so sure 402a will not be affected….

402a doesn't have Connected Navigation; it has Connected Built-in Navigation. These are two different systems. Connected Built-in Navigation is only being removed where optional.

Ok. Missed understood that. Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering why I had not heard anything from my dealer.

Just got confirmation from my dealer on my 401A with optional Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 that includes the adaptive stop/go cruise control that Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 has been removed entirely.

Edit: I cancelled my order. At this price point, can't really excuse my wallet getting that much lighter if it's not exactly what I'm looking for in a vehicle.

We'll see what 2023 brings and I'll revisit the idea then. For now I'll keep wringing out the Tacoma.

Yep, dealer just let me know as well. Adaptive cruise was a feature I was really looking forward to. Might do the same and wait for a ‘23

Can anyone confirm that the 402a tremor will also lose adaptive cruise control with stop/go?

I am travelling overseas and haven't been able to contact my dealer back home. I really wanted adaptive cruise control for all of the stop and go freeway driving I have to do.

I don't really care about blue cruise or the nav/xm radio, I wouldn’t use those after the free period anyway.

Dealer got ahold of me today and let me know that. Also a feature I was really looking forward to.

What trim level did you have?

While Ford listing the deletion as "100a-501a" confuses things, they go on to refer to it by the OPTION code.

This is something I wrote above:

43B is the option code for Assist 2.0 on 401a. There is no option code for Assist 2.0 on 402a, because it's part of the trim level.

I'd lean more towards this. Can't imagine a 402A not having that - it's not even a 402A at this point if it loses all of that.

I hope not, I can live without it but damn seems ridiculous! Even though I won't use the Nav all that often I like to keep it up on screen and if I loose cell signal my Android auto would probably fail. We'll see!

I have ordered the 402a. Hope the dealer is wrong!

I think your dealer is wrong. I watched the sales manager pull my 402A up on his computer. The only thing that is deleted is the start/stop. He said he had already called those effected since they have to sign a bunch of forms acknowledging all of the items and functions being removed from their orders.
