We definitely had one. I had to play Hodor all night and helping trim trees in the neighborhood next morning they were all snaps/twists.

You can see where the tornado was reported. I’m sure there were more places it touched down. Very easily could have. The Asheville area is pretty bad. The smaller towns higher up are really bad. Little creeks turned into rivers in a very short period of time.

Yes the smaller mountain towns were basically washed out, I was in newland and Lenoir NC Wednesday and most bridges on the toe River were gone I saw at least 7 state bridges just washed out all together, and they were talking a few weeks to get power back to 90% of the people, they had power to about 70% then. At the same time though these people are pretty self sufficient, used to dealing with snow storms and so forth, everyone is chipping in. FEMA had just showed up there with 3 people to allow for people to apply for aid, that's the only federal response that was there, NC national guard was there helping deliver supplies and clearing some debris, but what you saw mainly were locals out with equipment helping each other.

Yeah I'm used to FEMA being useless "our expectations were low but holy shit". They still needing rednecks or is it mostly under some level of control at this point?

What will take the longest is the Bridges, I'm still shocked they haven't started bringing in bailey bridge's, mgb, and Mabey Johnson bridges, to function as temporary while they get the new bridges built

Didn't we (FL) send up a handful of the temp ones?

They may have, I know NC has 500 ft of Bailey bridge, just for these reasons, when it phased out of our unit they transferred it to the state of NC.
