What's new

Icon Tremor Leaf Springs

@Cblaxx19 I think I see the difference.
Alex's on top, yours on the bottom. His is pushed further out (1/2-5/8" maybe? Are there two holes in your mount?

There are not. And I brought this up to the icon guy on the phone and he said there is no other bracket part number.

He did mention sometimes needing to drill a new hole, which is what it appears they did here.

It’s a bit BS that the $1000 uca doesn’t come with this dinky bracket in the first place. But even more BS that I have to buy it extra and it still doesn’t work without drilling a completely new hole. 🤦🏼‍♂️

.. In a place that will get as much or more salt as anywhere on the truck. Granted, it'll be sea salt for you but still..

Speaking of salt why didn't you lasso that damn cold air and keep it out your way @Yeti.

It builds character and I'm a giver. My huskies and I wen't out and laid in the snow for 10 minutes, this morning. a balmy 4F. There is nothing quite so funny (and disturbing) as seeing a yeti in a tee shirt and boxers and a dog making snow angels next to each other.

They're hiding them from me. I'm still only seeing the fronts but they have never been great at updating their website

Found them. This goes along with what @RotorHead695 said over a year ago. @Tremor Trails this may be an option for the rears
Here are the options for the supplied add a leaf

Whats the verdict on the raptor shocks you added?
If you look at original leaf springs on the concrete you will see only 2 leaves attached at shackle point and those sit on a lift block. The New pack has more springs and eliminates the lift block which gives a heavy duty rear end while retaing a soft ride. Stock squat adding trailer was 3 inches, new setup squats 2 inches. The trailer now pulls smoothly without tugging and no more body roll during day to day driving and off roading. The spring wrap was really bad with the old setup and now the rear is stout and feels better than GEN 2 RAPTOR. I currently am not running the add a leaf but may in the future.

Here is a photo at full droop but can't give any feedback on how it behaves. What was your concern about the sensor at full droop?
I may be wrong but I thought I read where there were issues with that sensor (or rod) breaking. There were also concerns about fram contact at full droop but really, without bushings to keep stuff in check, I think we should expect that contact without limiting straps or internal bumpstops.

Lol, any chance your buddy could redesign the coilovers to include a topout bump? :)

How does the arm behave at full droop? Seem to have enough rod length to handle the increased 20% travel?
On the 20% increased travel topic... does anyone know what stock front wheel travel is on the tremor to know what we'd expect after the 20% increase with the icon kit?

I think it's right around 8" of travel up front and 9 in the rear

Numbers I have seen claimed are just under 9 inches up front and 12 inches in the rear.

Ford claims 1 inch more upfront than stock. The rear has very similar shock travel to a gen 1 raptor which is 12 inches.

I have searched the entire web for that info on the tremor and saw conflicting infos. My conclusion was also 9in front 12 rear but this is far from being an official of definitive number.

If the Icon adds 20% to 9in, that‘s a healthy number. I am curious how much travel do the 6112 / ford performance have. I would love to know if they keep stock F-150 travel (8in), mimic the Tremor travel (9in) or more than that like the Icons. The 6112 are much less expensive than the Icon for probably 80-90% of the performance, unless travel is 8in.

This motor trend article is one of the only places I have seen it. They say the rear is increased by 1 ½ inches and 1 inch up front. The 1 inch upfront lands you at about 9 inches according to the author.

If the Icons can really add 20% travel you are looking at 10.5-11 inches up front. That is basically a gen 1 raptor.

This was my source as well. Plenty of press articles have been wrong before.

We still miss travel figures on a 6112 as it’s by far the best deal for the front if you don’t want to pay Icon money.
