Iconic Silver Tremor - Xpel Stealth PPF

So how much did that cost you?
Well like I said it was expensive. It was a bit over 7K for the PPF and close to 10K for everything. This includes:
  • Full PPF wrap. Xpel stealth on most areas and some gloss PPF on some areas like the headlights and B-pillars. They also prepared the surface beforehand doing any claying to remove any imperfections in the clear coat. Comes with a 10-year warranty.
  • Ceramic coating was applied on top of the PPF. Comes with 4-year guarantee.
  • Ceramic tint 20% on the driver and passenger windows and 70% on the windshield and moonroof.
This is not something I have typically done to any of my vehicles before. Of course, I have never had a vehicle that cost anywhere near the price of a new truck these days. My last vehicle was a 2014 Toyota Camry SE I bought new for like 23K. I plan to enjoy this truck for a while, so I guess just one of the mods I was willing to splurge on a bit to enjoy and hopefully also help give some added protection as well.

I took it to an Xpel certified and authorized installer, AP3 Atlanta located in Alpharetta. They were great throughout the whole process and very professional. I was reluctant to commit to the full PPF at first and I initially scheduled just to have the front clip and rocker panels done. They applied some test sections on my truck, so I could make a better decision if I wanted to make the jump to full PPF and stealth. I was also confident that they would do a professional job. They take their time and do it right. Removing what they can and wrapping edges. Where they are located they wrap a ton of Teslas, exotics, and high-dollar vehicles in general.

I don't have many pics from before but here is one. Not sure how well the difference will be noted through the pics.
Actually shows the difference really well... just look at the reflection in the passenger door and the complete lack of reflection after ppf. Looks awesome!

Yeah definitely. Here is another pic from today parked in the same spot as the before pic but turned around. It probably has more similar lighting to the before pic. The pic from yesterday was pretty overcast with a storm approaching. But yeah here you can see the light is very reflective in the windows and not so much on the paint like the before pic.

Looks great man.

Now fix the rake :]

I picked up my new Iconic Silver Tremor a couple of weeks ago. I dropped it off yesterday to get some tint and PPF installed. Initially, I was going to get the front clip and rocker panels, but I really liked the aesthetic of the stealth finish and the added protection. It is pricey and not sure it was the best decision in terms of money, but I ended up going for the full wrap in the stealth.

They sent me a few pictures of the progress.

How could you do this to me. I was just getting happy with how my truck was looking and now I need to wrap it. Damn.
It looks so good.

Truck looks great. I did the same with mine only I have the stone grey. The stealth really gives the color more depth and as my friend described it a silky look.

I have always added a PPF strip on the leading edge of the hood and roof but this is also my first fully wrapped truck. Add in the fact that it protects from scratches and runaway stones and think it is definitely worth it.

So far I have no complaints other than the cost. Beyond the aesthetic, I like the added protection just for peace of mind. The combo with the ceramic coating on top really helps to keep it cleaner. It does not seem to get as dirty and makes washing it pretty quick as well when I do decide to clean it up. I guess another downside for some could be that you should not use the automatic car washes, but those, in general, are not the best for a car's finish anyway.

I still really do like the aesthetic part of the appearance. Especially for the Iconic Silver, I think it gives it quite a different look and is a bit more unique in a subtle way. I still frequently get compliments and questions from random strangers.

The Xpel Stealth is something I would do in a sec if it wasnt so expensive. I love the look. I know someone who has had it on their entire Raptor for years and it still looks great.

Have you had any problems with the film lifting/bubbling or anything like that?

Dang this would be a must for me if I didn’t have to get a new vehicle every 5 years! Grrr.

Looks like cloud cover. I’d love to see the truck in the bright sun. Was totally on board with doing this to my silver tremor, but that iconic silver finish has been growing on me. On the fence with which PPF to do.

@scottj272 this is actually one of the best looking colors I’ve seen with the Xpel Stealth, imo. It has a stainless steel look to it. Just beautiful!

Looks great, but far too much money for me to justify. I'm retired and don't drive all that much anymore. I've had my current ride for a year and a half and it doesn't have 2k on it yet. I don't even take it out in the rain. When I get the Tremor, I'm installing a Bedrug, Truxedo Sentry cover and a Go-Rhino 2.0 sport bar. Also, the cupholder and media bin mod, tailgate letters, short antenna, seat belt pads and that's about it. I may consider the grill lighting later on it that pans out.

I have not taken many pictures lately. I was able to get out and ride some trails yesterday. I snapped a few pics, not the best because the sun was into me and varied amounts of shading as well. But I guess shows the look in various angles of light.

I like the way that RSI cap looks on the silver! I have one ordered to go on my Stone Grey

I’m taking bets on which one shows up first 😂. Ordered my Tremor in March, RSI cap in July when I got my VIN

Waiting waiting waiting
