Installed: SVT (Gen 1) Raptor Rear Shocks on Tremor

those of you that have switched to these -- are you still happy? how is the ride unloaded and with a load? offroad/onroad?
Would you have gone a different route?
I have airbags currently and during the fall thru feb I have a decent load of around 1K with hunting gear/dogs

I've been very happy with the SVT shocks. I always carry about 300lbs of camper/bed slide but occasionally I've loaded the truck up to ~900-1000bs.

My only complaint is now I notice how soft the front end is. I can't decide which shocks to install. 2.0s? 2.5 Elites?

That's the crux with the SVT shocks in the rear - no obvious pairing for the front. There is a fair bit of science behind matching the front/rear dampening characteristics for trucks as the front/rear are vastly different in terms of weight and suspension characteristics. Unbalanced dampening can lead to unfavourable handling.

Might be worth sending an email off to fox to see what they would recommend for the front though I'm not sure if they'd disclose the valving for those older SVTs.

Kicking myself hard right now because I should have bought these when they were cheaper. I did just order the front snap ring fox struts. Can’t stand the rake anymore.

What was the part number for the front Fox Snap ring struts to level?

Based on the compressed and extended lengths these should work just fine. Really will depend on the valving which I would have no idea about. If they are meant to work on a stock raptor should be a little stiff just like the Stock SVT.

Late seeing this, as I just ordered a pair of the FOX SVT's getting ready for spring install. They came together, each packaged in a separate box. One of the boxes was COVERED in oil, as I could smell it it before opening. The leaking shock, seemed damaged, not to mention, not secured in box to prevent it from banging around. Needless to say, sent that baby back and awaiting the replacement. For the money, did not want to risk damaged seals. Did you send yours back??

I have about 10,000 miles on mine and still very happy. The pairing with the Fox 2.0 snap rings has proven to be a great combo for my needs. Mostly drive it empty but handles a full bed really well.

No leaks and no problems so far.

I’m about 7-8k miles on mine now. Everyday carry with an RSI cap and Decked gear in the bed is about 600lbs and closer to 1k on long distance trips to WY, NM, CO etc.
These have completed cured the stock set-ups tendency to get squirrelly on loose gravel/dirt.
They also keep the ride quality as comfortable as stock while controlling the side to side wallow at lower speeds.
I don’t even think about it anymore.

After compressing the stock shocks by hand with very little effort, it seems silly that Ford used those to begin with.
But they also included a full-sized spare that was neither balanced nor inclusive of the TPMS.

for fox 2.0 snap ring did u use the factory spring ? and u have 2 inch increase over the OEM ? why you not recommend the fox 2.0 coil over version

Snap rings with the stock spring. Set to the second highest setting. Lifted almost 2 inches. Reason for the snap rings is they have more travel than coilovers.
