What's new

Jan 10th Build Week Thread

Granger is small and in the middle of nowhere, crazy amount of orders. Just saying lol
Well that's what mean. Grangers order-to-monthly allocation ratio may be high that other dealers their size. But I have no idea how allocations are granted. I do know that I should be scheduled this month. Zach said they got 65 allocations and last week I was told I was 38th in line on their list.

That's great news! The last few people who have posted they got a VIN had an order date within a few days of mine, or even the same day. I keep thinking I've got to be close...which makes the lack of consistent scheduling even more frustrating.

Haha thats very true, but these guys definitely are not high volume. There might be a handful customer orders right now, and mine is the first and only Tremor they've ever ordered.
I think you nailed that- mine was the first Tremor (and most likely still the only) they had ordered... in fact, when I went in to talk about it, they set me up with the sales manager because none of the sales people knew anything about it- I knew more about it then the sales manager (not surprising...).

I don't think I've ever bought a vehicle where I didn't know more about it than the guy selling it. :ROFLMAO:

I always enjoy getting into arguments with the parts guys who have no clue what they're talking about.
If they piss you off too bad just call them and say you need a water pump gasket for a 1997 Tacoma, ask them to describe it to you to make sure it's the part you need.

True... It's like my wife wanting me to ask the Home Depot employee for advice... never going to happen.

As someone who used to work at a Home Depot....don't ever ask a Home Depot employee for advice haha.

I’ve learned just to walk away when they give you the blank stare after asking where something is.
I’ve spent too much time explaining what a ‘bushing bit’ or ‘tap on’ is and then showing them what it is once we find it.

Haven't heard anything from ford. Called my dealer, they gave me my vin, and its in production. But in chip purgatory.

I almost forgot to complain about my truck... No updates today. Still have a window sticker date of 3/29. Still on chip hold since 1/12. Ford still give me an ETA of 4/25 to 5/1. Based on everyone's shipping times, I have about another week to get the "Built" status before my expected ETA becomes unrealistic.

Welcome home brother.

Come on man!

I need you to move things along so I can get my truck!!!

Just tracked 3 trucks including a 402 tremor with some options and blend dates are all early March and are delivered in YYC…. definitely have our truck in field and not to much care about prioritizing the already built trucks waiting on chips

Window sticker updated to 4/6/2022.

I did notice that the tracker showed 34 other vehicles being tracked in this same status. Unclear as to what that means

Mine shows the same as well for my build.

I talked to my sales manager yesterday. He said he talked to his “rep” last week. The rep told him that trucks that have been on hold from January will all be completed sometime in April. All incoming inventory of chips will be used to compete the trucks that have been send to storage because of chip hold.

He passed that along to me yesterday so don’t shoot the messenger if it doesn’t happen🤣

Man I hope you're right. Reminds me of the FB post I saw in early March where someone said Ford's goal was to have all trucks on chip hold done by March 31st.
We will see.

I missed that post… just lost half my confidence lol

Exactly... Never thought it would be the beginning of April and I wouldn't have seen any movement yet.

Don't quote me on that next month. Please let that not be the case.

Ok... just doing some thinking. That's probably going to get me in trouble... but what the heck.

My original delivery date (before we knew any of these chip delays were going to happen) was Feb 8th-13th. Going back a little bit, I see there was exactly 26 days between my blend date and the end of my delivery window "estimate" of Feb 13.

Although we don't see the delivery estimates on the ford tracking site (anymore.) You can still find yours by asking for a Vehicle Visibility Report from your dealer... or calling Ford directly. They will give you your estimated delivery window.

If I do that same math and look at 26 days before my new delivery window of May 8-May 14... I get April 18th. I am going to treat that like my new "blend" date... and thinking I should get a BUILT email 2 or 3 days after that new blend date.

Does that sound reasonable?

Cuz If that doesn't happen. I might explode.

((Does anyone have less than 26 days to go before they hit the end of their delivery window? (I am thinking @ChsTremor ??))
