I saw that yesterday as well and was pretty confused. I thought 6 weeks would be pretty standard for a custom order pre covid.

Also, it adds a little sting seeing that headline with a tremor as the cover photo

Just talked to Mark on the ford hotline.

Mark is just as confused as I am how the truck is still in production and scheduled to be at the dealer May 1st.
It was funny listening to his voice change as he said “…in production and scheduled to be delivered May…(long pause)…1st?”.

Does that make sense to you Mark? - I said

Mark replies - “no, no it doesn’t”

Hell yeah! What was your blend again? My newest theory is that the trucks were placed in the holding lot as they came off the line effectively putting the first off the line in the back of the lot. Now when they got back to put in the missing pieces the first off the line would be last to get the chips.

Same. I don’t know why I even worry about this. I know trucks with bluecruse have come out of production recently. But I don’t think I am aware of any coming out of chip hold that have BlueCruise. So it does make my mind wonder a little.

If it makes you feel better I ordered mine late September last year and got switched over to the 2022 in Oct. Blend date was Jan 12 and scheduled delivery I'm told is early June. Doesn't seem there is any rationale as to how they are getting these trucks completed and sent out.

Still no change in my order showing ETA of May 9th but still has not shipped. I try to chat with ford once or twice a week just so they know I am still here. Got this response this time after complaining about the recent orders from January and February getting delivered while we are all still waiting.

"I absolutely understand. Please be assured that I have documented your concerns regarding this issue. The information and feedback we gather from our customers is used in all areas within Ford Motor Company to assist us in building vehicles that will meet our customer’s demands for quality and value."

I am guessing it will not change anything but I like to talk to ford at least once a week and complain about this.

Ford needs to change the way they handle orders. I never went into a chip hold but saw plenty of orders built after mine but shipped 2 to 3 weeks ahead of me. The built trucks on chip hold should be given priority but it seems that Ford caters to the most recent orders first.

Tremor did arrive at Granger last week along with 50+ other vehicles. Got with Chip and scheduled to pick mine up on May 6 (best date for me to pick it up). RuffTuff seat covers due later this week and tonneau cover ordered and should here when I get home. Then it’s 2 days rest and on up to Idaho for a bear hunt. Hey, talk about a Tremor of the month picture with a big black bear photobombing the Tremor!

Did you get your ruff tuff seat covers? If so how do you like them? Any pics to show how they look installed?

Spoke with Ford Support and I am still "in production" waiting on "chips". Losing hope.

This is so frustrating. I’m so sorry man. I feel your pain!

What do we do though? I feel like I still want the truck… but it’s loosing its luster and it’s hard to stay excited.

I almost would walk away from it, but I would have to go with something totally different and there isn’t anything else I really want right now?

I know its worth the wait but really thought it would be here by now, and of course seeing the fast delivery stories is salt in the wound. The only positive is casually browsing the internet or local dealers and either seeing zero inventory or prices well beyond the deal Granger offered.

I just sent that pic to my salesman. with "WTF". I know it's not his fault and he knows he will sell it the day it shows up to me or anyone else. Larry H Miller in Orem had one in Silver this weekend and the SLC store had one in black. Gone before I could even talk to them. LHM is also adding mark up. Can't find a SuperDuty and just for fun look for the new Tundra. There is like 4 in the state. Crazy times.

Ya, a few weeks ago I went on the hunt for a Tundra. It seems nice, but it wasn’t for me. I’ve driven the Tremor and I am excited about getting it. But discouraged about how long it’s taking.

Buying a 2013 F150 to use in the mean time has helped ease the need to have one for towing. But it’s still on my mind 24/7.
