What's new

Jan 10th Build Week Thread

The dealer where I bough mine has a white that is expected in two weeks, I think they said a 400a.
The 400A is such a tough sell to me, quiet a mark up over the XL.

I get it, that's why I have the 402a

Unpopular opinion but the same really could be said about the 401A, though it is closer in price to a similarly equipped XLT I guess.

Well I think you get a little more than either for what would be less than a similar equipped of the xl, xlt, lariat. I posted an article that discussed that not long ago.

It lives.

I have yet to reach this point…. 😔
Man I've said it before but this just does not compute with me. Looking at your dates compared to mine, you should be getting yours first. I mean, I'm not going to give you mine, but still it's dumb.

That just made me laugh! I needed the chuckle, Thanks!

It does seem so crazy. Can’t understand why Ford is pushing it this long.

Deep inside I feel like a Karen wanting to talk to the manager! “Give me what I want!!”

And I hate that!

It seems like once a truck goes on chip hold the priority drops way down, which I don't understand.

Just guessing here-there is a week of production that needs to go on chip hold-they go park those trucks. Get chips in but don’t want to cycle chip hold trucks for trucks already in the line/manufacturing process-too much downtime/cost.

They’ll bring chip hold trucks in if/when line slows down.

Gotta hit those earnings targets. Whats a few upset customers.

I expect you are right, if you look at my build week, 5/16, vs the 5/9 week before, we don't have any on chip hold while 5/9 got screwed.

Think you and I are in same camp-build week of 5/16 and truck is active on app as well.

Now just to get it on a train/truck to granger

I would agree with this theory. Also, if more than one build week goes on chip hold, the last one to go on hold is the first to come off.

Im sure hoping they don't. Quite a few people have been getting built statuses over the last few days. I'm hoping the rest of us get it early next week

But what if I want it really really bad?

Ok… we lost @Fozzy to buying a truck off the lot… I just wonder if anyone else is thinking the same thing? I’m in that mindset today.

But with my luck I would get the “truck built” email the morning after I buy something new @ MSRP+.

About a month ago I bought a 2013 F150 to use this summer… however it just dumped a large juicy turd 💩 and has a major engine problem now. I loathe that I’m in this situation owning a old used truck that I paid too much for (in this market) and about to spend $2-3k on engine repairs.

Not sure what to do honestly. I keep having these days where I’m pissed off at the world 😂

Am I crazy for thinking about bailing after waiting this long?
