Leveling Kit

My Wheels came in and installed. Man these were pretty heavy. It was fun trying to put them on without scratching them on the rotors and stuff. ICON Compressions Satin Black 18x9 +6 offset / Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/70/18. I also took pics of the suspension with the wheel off. I know some were curious about the CV's and stuff. Does not rub but most already knew that with this size. Measured front height again with the stock wheels. It settled just a little at 40- 11/16". Height right after install of just the suspension was 40-7/8" about 2 weeks ago.

Which icon kit is this? Sorry if I missed it.

Popping in here just to give more photos and input for those of you that are still waiting and want more info! I got the level done by my local Ford dealership, a friend of mine used to be a lead technician and now does the custom stuff over there and he messed with it all day to get it level. Started with the 2.5" Motofab spacers up front, still had 1.25" rake. Don't have a photo of that but I told him I wanted 1" or less so he went on to the next. Removed the stock rear blocks and tried Autospring 2" and still had 1" rake. Then went with the stock FX4 block (1.5") and its almost perfectly level, less than 1/4" rake. Personally don't like the rake and I don't tow a lot but when I do it's over 6-8k lbs (camper, or CanAm) which would make anything squat that sits level without bags, but I like the stability/stiffness in the rear with airbags. So again not perfectly level but he said it may affect ride quality if I did a 3" spacer and I didn't want that. I threw my CanAm trailer on it after (not loaded) and it dropped it 1/4" which shows how soft the suspension is in the rear.

First 5 photos are the first day I had the truck (yesterday). The rest are today after the level, I couldn't wait. Funny how many people complimented on the truck but commented on the insane rake! Let me know if you want to see any other angles.

Super happy with it. Traded in an F250 Powerstroke for this because I really didn't need a diesel and they were offering me a lot for it. Not planning to do anything crazy besides ceramic coating, 3M clear bra and window tint. Eventually get rid of the running boards, not a fan of them. I really liked the ones on my F250 Platinum (power running boards) so might go with the AMP power running boards eventually. Wheels will likely happen but I like these, just not wide enough. I will definitely get some wider tires if I find a good deal.

Great setup, how much was the install. What’s the wheel travel with the Icons and feel on and off road compared to stock. Thank you for taking the time to post, looking forward to seeing photos and your take on this mod.

Install was about 1000.00 with alignment. I do not know what the wheel travel specs are with the ICONS. On road, it is stiffer and you do feel a lot more. I went offroad just a little but nothing too dramatic or extreme. It does absorb better and under a lot more control at higher speeds compared to stock. I didn't notice any rubbing issues and did take a peak for anything. Did not see any markings but then again it wasn't too extreme where I was really pushing the truck. I am happy with the way they came out. Just what I imagined before purchasing. I felt the stock suspension was good for what it was made for. I posted pics on I think pages 41, 42 and 44 of this thread.

I’m leaning towards the Icons, glad that you like them. Can’t wait to see what you think after you put more miles on and off road and you get a chance to push it. Would be interesting to hear how they tow also as Icons typically tow well. Thanks for sharing.

those rough country angles look…rough.

I’ve seen a pic of the pro comp 2.5 and it looks to have about the same angle as the rough county 3”.
Dumb question here but is the lesser angle on the auto spring purely due to the less amount of lift!

Thanks @Fozzy , thanks for your time in creating that post ... From my understanding with independent front suspension lifts/levels - no matter if its 1.5, 2, 2.5" strut spacer or longer strut/coil - your going to push the lower control arm down thus achieving the purpose in raising the front of the vehicle but with the side effect of increasing the CV angle. So simple logic.
I see a lot of different post about the different "level" options and correct me if I'm wrong but all 2.5" level options would ride/handle the same with exception of of course a strut/ coilover replacement... the difference only being an offset or material used... to me the only "spacer" option that stood out from those offered was the Autospring with the offset and that was to eliminate contact with the upper control arm.
So I ended up ordering the 2" AS option for $129.95 Shipped - will install myself next week and have my Ford dealership align for $99 - so less than $250 .
I too will wait until a better strut/coil over replacement is offered from Fox/BDS/King that specifically fits the Tremor.
I have a 22 Iconic Silver 402A and so far with only 1100 trouble free miles - the only thing Im not happy with is the softish suspension ( BTW this is my first new truck purchase since buying a Chevy S10 in 1987 as a teenager ..lol -been a Car/Jeep guy all my life).

Exactly that, I bet that's why Stage III MS had Auto Spring make them the 2.3" kit. The RC 2.5" and Vertex 3" are basically the same lift. Just with the upgraded shocks.

The ICON set up is solid, I would put that up against King or Fox any day. From what RC has done, all any manufacture has to do is just say it's Tremor specific and drop the total height number raised down (just like ICON). Strut kits can't get around the CV angle. I just did the 6" BDS, they could just call it a 5" Tremor kit. But the truck is still massive and I really don't need that extra inch for a true Tremor 6".

I think at this point I'm probably going with the Bilstein rears I talked to them about and waiting on them to release their new front leveling kit for the 21-22 f150 to see what it will do.

Your dealer wouldn’t do it? Most of these local shops have kids working there now days. 4wheel parts, Jack It and most tire places will do it. I live in Riverton and had Burt Brothers on Redwood and Bangerter do my last truck and they did a good job. But I couldn’t bring the kit to them. I had to buy through them. I have a 2.5” AS kit you can have. It doesn’t say Tremor on the box like the new kits do, but its the same puck.

I went hog wild and did a 6” BDS kit even though I promised myself I would stay with a level. If you don’t want to try 4wheel Parts or the sort. You will need a Ford dealership eventually. Pick one you like and see if they will do it. They will be a little weird at first since you didn’t buy from them. I know LHM Ford does aftermarket stuff and so does Ken Garff. I use the LHM in Draper, they are the closest to my house. They use to be really good when they where the little place on 90th and State. Now they are massive the service and quality has gone downhill. They say they have new management and are getting better.

How does the 6in kit look and feel? Did you go with 35s or 37s?

Didnt realize we had so many SLC members on here.

@hadlow123 For work we use LHM and KG, and I have to say I prefer KG, but it could be way different on the fleet side than the retail. I mean, it varies between dealerships that are under the same parent company. The Ram KG dealer that shares a parking lot with the Ford KG one is awful, and has a door labor rate that is almost $50 more per hour. If you want to travel N a bit Performance out of Bountiful has been good, and I have always had good service from the Young group.

I could see both the LHM and KG shops only doing a kit that they sell. For strictly installing a kit I would look at 4WP or Les Schwab if either of these dealers wont.
