Leveling Kit

Time to compile a list of these and opinions on how they ride, work, etc both on road and off road. I know several went with the RC kit, many have done the AS, others have gone different routes, most that have done the RC kit haven't made any comments as of late. Now that they've had it for a bit an update on them would be good, same for some of the others out there. Feedback on your different kits and thoughts would be great. Help others make a better informed decision.
I’m running a Frankenstein’s monster suspension of RC front with the “too short” eibach rear shocks and still loving every minute of it. Dealer had it on their lift for my first service and said everything looks great.

I need tires though. Think I’ll go with 295/70/18s. Feel like the extra thickness will look versus the .3 in of height 285/75s would have

285/75 is 1.5” taller than stock. I tossed around both the 295/70 and the 285/75 for a while and I ended up opting for more height. I say that but so far they’ve only located me two tires so it may be a while haha.

Edit: I’m an idiot. What I meant to say is overall diameter is 1.5” greater than stock. So, 3/4” taller.

Eibach Lift Springs and Shocks (front) installed. When the truck was new it had around 4” of rake. After 12,000 miles it has settled to about 3 1/4” of rake. As it sits right now there is barely 1/4” of rake, maybe 3/16”. My understanding was the springs and shocks were adjustable to give you up to 2.7” of front lift. As it actually turns out, on the very lowest setting in the shocks you get every bit of 2.7”. Needles to say I’m a little disappointed. I was shooting for 2 - 2 1/4” of lift in the front to leave me with 1” or so of rake to count for towing and hauling stuff in the bed. Honestly when you see it in person you’d almost swear that it’s nose high but I’ve put the tape to it and it says it’s not. I can say this, there’s definitely more noticeable wind drag and it’s more stiff than the stock suspension. I honestly am not sure if I’ll keep it on or not. I’m hoping that the front end will settle????? Or maybe someone will actually release some made for Tremor rear shocks that I can get a little lift back in the rear out of. Anyways, thought I’d share for those interested in the Eibach.

Thanks for the info. BTW, great looking rig.

Thank you. I had some 285s on order that would definitely improve the look but now I have to decide if I’m keeping this setup or not.

On the 15-20 F150s, the Eibachs were adjustable up to 2.7" with the stock springs, but I thought the Eibach springs gave 2.7" on the lowest collar perch. I am running them on my '17 with stock springs at the 2nd to lowest setting and with a 2" spacer on top, which nets me about 2.7"

With their Tremor springs and adjustable shocks the bare minimum lift is stated to be 2.7”. I figured based off of the description on the website the max you could get would be 2.7”. So in my head my plan was going to work out perfect. Real world experience was the bare minimum lift I could get turned out to be nearly 3”. Also seems like it sucked the front tires in quite a bit and it just doesn’t look quite right to me.

If you're close to 3" your CV's have to look steep.

Independent suspensions will pull the wheels in as the tire moves down, so lifts on IFS will always pull the tires in a bit. I have some wheel spacers that I plan to use when I level the front, but at this rate I might have some spacers up for sale as I don’t even have a VIN yet

@MOHunter, I hate to hear this review. I had high hopes for this setup. I am still holding out that your springs may settle a bit over time.
Your initial idea of 1” rake is exactly what I am looking for too thought eibach would be the ticket for ride height and quality.
I will stay tuned for a your additional thoughts on the setup as some more miles are put down on it.

I’ve never ran spacers. They made me nervous, but I’m starting to consider them as an option.

I was super excited to get this done and I’m just disappointed. I’d been inquiring with Eibach since last fall about a kit for the Tremor. I feel like they rushed it. Apparently they should’ve used a test truck with some miles on it instead of a new 22. I have no idea if it will settle or not but I’m hopeful that it will if I can make myself keep it on there. Hoping @Yeti or someone else with more expertise than myself can chime in on the matter.

Which part are you disappointed with the visual appearance or the performance ? Looking at your pic it looks like every other 2.5 leveled Tremor.... How does it drive compared to you previous 12K miles?

Its funny, Im coming from the Jeep World (Had 3JKs and a TJ) - my last JK , I had over 80K invested in my 16JKUR and it seemed like I was constantly chasing that perfect suspension set up, KING coilovers front and rear, removed the rears went back to just King adjustable shocks in the back, Full long Arm kit, had 38's and all sorts of different configurations... funny after all the money that was spent , my best ride was 37's, short arms King F/R adjustable shocks... I was always chasing that "better" ride.... BUT my Jeep was built bad ass with classy taste - now I'm in the truck crowd and still chasing that perfect set up --- I put on the 2" Auto Spring spacer 2 weeks ago and the front of the truck still feels mushy, so I'm waiting on the 3" Rough Country Strut/Coil to come in early next week to swap out the 2" AS spacer... I didn't order the RC kit as I didn't need the rear spacer ( I ordered 2014-2020 Ford F-150 4WD 3" Lifted N3 Struts - Rough Country 501059 - which was $336 shipped) . So , wanting to see if changing out the front strut is more to my liking, saw where someone swapped out the rear shock for Eibachs - that may be my next chess move.

Has anyone seen the 2023 F150 on Ford.com called the "Rattler" ? It's basically an entry level XL version of the "Tremor". Not to worry Tremor owners, we have the best truck in the market. (y)

Most of my disappointment comes from the fact that it’s basically dead nuts level and I thought it would be able to be set to still have an inch or so of rake. I don’t know how much it actually sucked the wheels in but I feel like it was more noticeable than I thought it would be. It’s probably not as bad as I think. Maybe if I got the 285/75s on it my opinion would change a little with the height and slight width increase. The ride up front is definitely more firm. Definitely not bad, but it is more firm to me. From the sounds of it I think you’d probably like the feel of how it drives. I’m just currently in the mood that I should’ve left well enough alone after the factory suspension settled and the rake wasn’t quite as terrible as it started.

Did you do the work yourself ? If so no biggie, drive it for a week and if you hate it, just go back to stock or throw a 2" spacer up front but I can relate about the just leaving stuff alone.

No I had a dealer do it. I had enough Ford pass points to nearly cover the install and alignment so that’s a positive. I’d really like to see it with the bigger tires like I planned but man that would suck if I didn’t like it after throwing another $1,500 at it.

Oddly enough the shifter has a different feel to it when I put it in gear now also.
Thanks, I need to add this to my post. Looks just like the RC kits. It’s a good looking set up and probably 5 times better than the RC. I don’t know how much you plan on hauling and how often. But if you like the performance you can always add air bags to the rear. I just did this to my truck as its almost dead level and the Tremor is super soft in the back. With the Daystar cradles you wont loose any articulation, gains some stability while towing or hauling and keep the level look. It was a no brainer for me when i see people posting boats with 500-700 lbs tongue weight leveling the truck.
