Lol, that's debatable.replace perfectly good components.
Maybe I am just in denial that I paid all this money and didn’t get what I paid forLol, that's debatable.
But I was fully prepared to mention Eibach but a more attentive and intelligent member stole my thunder. For the price difference, the eibach should work nicely.
Oh, you got what you paid for but our expectations may have been higher. At least mine were.Maybe I am just in denial that I paid all this money and didn’t get what I paid for
In order for Ford to be Ford, they have an overwhelming need to underperform (be cheap) with a component on any given model. My '35 had the worlds worst axle for it's manual windshield wiper, my '51 used the shittiest door window glass ever placed in a production vehicle. On my '87, I had to change the rotors about as often as I changed my oil. Today it's mediocre struts and WTH were they thinking with those rear shocks.Maybe I am just in denial that I paid all this money and didn’t get what I paid for
Agreed, I'd really love to sit down with Ford and talk to them about these rear shocks, and see exactly what they were thinking people use their trucks for, then take them for a quick ride and show them just how much they failed on the rear shocks, and show them that had they just spent only a couple of hundred bucks they could have done so much better. In order for Ford to be Ford, they have an overwhelming need to underperform (be cheap) with a component on any given model. On the upsaide, the rest of the truck is fantastic!
The system above is the complete but yes for front the one you listed will work if you prefer to buy separately. This is my first ford so learning something new lol. Asking around for decent 4x4 shop in MD.
Making sure this what people are recommending:
Front: PRO-TRUCK springs and shocks.
Rear:????

I may need to update my build resources post. The specs are there but no pricing indications. I also didn't want to be so arrogant as to sticky my own postYou are my bank accounts worst nightmare lol.
It seriously this should be a sticky because the options I’ve been seeing are extremely expensive.
No your fine, I'd really rather not see something else on here I "Need" not sure my marriage can handle it.I may need to update my build resources post. The specs are there but no pricing indications. I also didn't want to be so arrogant as to sticky my own post
You guys are awesome sticky anything newbies like me ask every week.I may need to update my build resources post. The specs are there but no pricing indications. I also didn't want to be so arrogant as to sticky my own post
The Eibach kit will carry you further than you think, the other kit I would recommend is the halo kit for around $1700, I just wish Eibach would make a 2.5 diameter kit.You guys are awesome sticky anything newbies like me ask every week.
Having “tiers” for best value is good. Like cheap no offroad: puck x, puck y
Value mild offroad: eibach lift
Mega bucks and jump the tremor: Uber coil over kit + blah blah blah
Sorry I didn’t see the build page
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm very familiar with suspension lifts, geometry from my first gen Raptor but that was almost cheating because the truck was pretty much already set up with its suspension, you could tweak it for more clearance (perches on the front struts for more lift). You didn't have to buy a whole new suspension (although a lot of guys did), I always stuck with the Fox set up, raised the perch, alignment and ran 37/12.50s....easy-peasy.After reading 70 pages I am still screwed on making a decision lol.
I do off road (~5% of 8k miles) on jeep trails around MD, VA, PA. I could really use an extra inch or two of clearance up front and approach angle. Would also like to run 34.5 (285/75 or 305/70) on stock wheels. Maintain 1.5” rake unloaded is ideal.
So it sounds like I should get coil overs. Things is, I don’t want to spend a lot to replace perfectly good components.
Pucks may actually make the system less reliable / accelerate wear, which is not what I want in the backroads with my family. Was leaning towards AS 2.0, then 1.5, and now nothing. I hate myself![]()

With my Tremor, although I used to shy away from preload spacer lifts, I had thought it a relatively cheap & easy way to run bigger tires. But as I get older, I appreciate a cushy, compliant ride more and more so I don't want to harshen the ride too much with a "puck" lift....nor do I want to accelerate CV, UCA, etc wear.
So now I'm back to contemplating additional thousands for a complete suspension solution! Lol....I'll never learn...Lol
