Leveling Kit

I recently reached out to icon and they responded back that they didn’t have coil overs for the Tremor and that they didn’t have a date or eta if or when they would. Which is weird, I guess they changed their minds
I have Icon rear shocks that i'm gonna try to put on this evening...
I am planning on ordering the Icon coilovers as well knowing they're not confirmed for the Tremor. But I'm only looking for about 1.5" of front lift so they should work just fine.

My Tacoma had Icons all around (CDVC coilovers, plus front bypass shocks, and rear bypass shocks) and I never had any issues with them. I had them rebuilt after about 30k miles but they never gave me any unexpected issues. I never had to deal with their customer support though.

So she said they are working on them and they would be longer and have a different UCA. I said, "no shit! I gave your engineer the exact measurements!"

Wait - so Icon actually said they have something Tremor specific in the works? With a unique UCA?

Those were the words. No ETA, and of course, no specs.

As I only have 2000 miles on my truck, I'm in no hurry to upgrade yet. The ride is acceptable enough for now, and my cash priorities are elsewhere for the time being. That said, I am heavily leaning towards the Bilstein package offered by Shock Surplus. Set to position 6, total Tremor lift should be approximately 1.5 inch in the front, exactly what I'm looking for.

I had looked at something similar and if I went that route I would upgrade the rear shocks from the 5100, that's me of course as it currently stands Halolift or the Eibach gets my nod currently.

Actually the 5100 rear shocks are included in that package.

They have a package with the 5160 as well. Which is what I would upgrade to with that set.

This is what I’m referring to. It actually squats with coolers and gear in the boat. The rear Tremor springs are softer than most people realize. AS 1.5 kit:

Definitely agree, mine is stock and with gear in the back sometimes it looks level…. I never noticed a big rake like others but I also have a bed cover and bed liner.

Pretty sure most people complaining about the rake rarely tow anything above 2k lbs if they even tow at all.

That factory rake is egregious. Everyone notices it, some just don't care. I rarely tow, but when I do it is 6-7k. I have a 2" level and air bags for when I do tow. Makes it so I only have about 1" of rake now, but don't sag when towing.

What are you using for air bags?

The rake is a bit much, but after taking brand new tremor for a test drive and seeing how nice it rides, that all went away until you stare at it or someone keeps pointing it out, I'm probably going to do a 2.5 level and air bags in the rear as well for towing

The air lift ones. I have used the Firestone Ride Rite in the past with good results, but those don’t fit the trucks with the arm for auto adjusting the headlights. When running empty at 3 psi I can’t tell they are there. I didn’t do the cradles as the most off-roading my Tremor will do is graded dirt roads.

For what it's worth, I did a 2" puck in front which allowed me to run 35" 11.2" wide tires (aka 34.8") 285/75/18 I run with a toolbox/fuel tank in truck 500 lbs. total. With the puck and full toolbox I ended up with 3/4" rake but didn't like the wandering ride on wash board roads so I installed the RAS system and wow that makes all the difference, gained 3/4" more rake so 1.5" now and still have the factory ride but no issues on wash board roads and if I need to tow something really heavy I can crank the spring tighter which I don't think will be needed. I'm running it with the white disk which is the thinnest disk setting. Just for your info I put 250# worth of sand bags just inside the tailgate to see what it would look like and that put me back to 1/2" rake. All these trucks are a little different but hopefully this can help somebody out that's just starting, my truck is a 2023 Tremor https://activesuspension.com/

While at the Overland expo this past weekend I got some interesting information form Fox and Icon.

Fox
Tremor specific "Performance" series coil overs with remote reservoir and high/low speed compression adjustment to be released within the next "couple" of months
Height adjustment can be done on the truck but will have to be raised

Icon:
To be released (per his words) within the next 2 months.

Rear Suspension
New leaf springs based on the Raptor design. (same lift but without the blocks)
New rear shocks with additional travel over stock (he wasn't sure exactly how much)

Front suspension took longer as the Tremor has a different UCA and Spindle than standard F-150s
New shocks with different levels of adjustability 0-4" (similar to king with only one compression adjustment dial geared slightly more to street perf.)
Height adjustments can be done while on the truck.
2 options for UCA
- Non adjustable tubular UCA with the ball joint at a different angle for better finetuning of the alignment and to keep stress off the ball joint
- Adjustable billet UPC to help with adjustments when using larger tires (be able to move the spindle assembly away from the firewall for more clearance

Not applicable to Tremor, but Icon will also be coming out with a new spindle for standard F-150 models to turn their front suspension into the Tremor type suspension

Great info, very much appreciated. I'll go ahead and wait a couple of months to see what these 2 companies will come out with.

Update from Icon!

Has anyone figured out what leveling kits work on the tremor? Will standard F-150 parts fit? Removing some of that rake will be my goal as soon as possible when I take delivery of my truck. I am looking to go the easy route with a 1.5” or 2” spacer kit on the struts. I don’t want to remove the rake completely, but from the pictures the way Ford is sending this out from the factory makes it look like they forgot to install the 1” lift parts on the Tremor with 3-4” of rake.

If you know what fits please let me know!
Thanks
Pro comp 2.5 worked great for me. Still has a slight rake
