Levelled on stock tires

Excellent question
Keep an eye on those upper a-arm ball joints. They are notorious for failing faster than the stock ones. Get Icon , Camburg or Elevate billet arms. They are more but 1000% better and stronger. Truck looks great 👍🏼

Any negative handling compromises?
Nothing noted with the 1.5” on my truck and I take corners like it’s a car. If you disconnect the front sway bar then yes it will handle drastically worse but have more flex off road. Everything is a compromise.

Which ball joints fail faster than stock?

SPC has had a rash of issues with failures of the ball joints on their arms.

Besides cost, is there any advantage to going with a 1 1/2 to 2 inch puck up front versus something like the Eibach pro 2 coilover kit? 2025 ecoboost motor.

I off-road regularly as this is my hunting truck, but also daily driver. I do not do anything too crazy like hard-core rock crawling or anything of the sort. Just your typical rough for service and BLM roads and two tracks. I also want to maintain ride quality on road too.

I don’t mind spending the money. I just want the best overall option and I don’t want to cause suspension geometry issues and premature wear of the front end.

True but from what I’ve heard and read, they actually changed the design so they’re much better and very reliable.

puck will give the lift and clearance but no gain in flex or suspension articulation. If you just want a little clearance a 1.5” puck will do it. If you don’t mind spending more I would go with the Eibach shocks or a full Eibach 2R kit. I don’t trust SPC arms so if you want to upgrade the arms I would use Icon, Camburg or Elevate but they are pricy! If you plan up upgrade the tires to a larger size go with a shock not a puck. The stock shocks lack proper compression and rebound valving for heavier tires and wheels.

That’s helpful. I doubt I would ever increase tire size much, certainly nothing over 35”, are the new Eibach 2.5 coilovers worth it?

I have zero experience with that kit nor heard any feedback since it is a new kit. Eibach Techline can definitely help but for fire road and mild off-roading I would guess it is overkill. The larger shock bodies (2.5”) are usually designed for high speed Baja type off-roading. I would say the Stage 1 or 2 would be sufficient, 2R should be way more then enough for your use. I’m like you in use and personally wouldn’t go with the stage 3 kit (2.5 shocks) unless techline says there is a longevity or ride quality improvement. Stage 1 and 2 should be perfect for you.

OK great info. Thanks! While searching I did read some earlier posts that seemed to indicate that the first stage 2 kits had shocks that weren’t long enough when used on a Tremor. Is that still an issue? Or have the newer Stage 2 kits rectified this issue?

Kinda confusing. Eibach lists Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2R, and Stage 3R (that uses a 2.5” shock), all apparently for the Tremor but they don’t explain the use case.

I don’t do a ton of desert stuff (although I do run some very long washboarded sections) and going fast does not excite me, most of my stuff is more mountain off roading.

We still like the Stage 2? Or does washboard warrant 2R or better? I don’t want to lose my road manners either.

And to add to the confusion, some retailers state E86-35-035-01-22 are not compatible with Tremors. Uggh

Contact Eibach Techline. They can answer the question on the shock. The only time 1” of difference on the shock will matter is at full extension. I know the issue was brought up a while ago but I believe they addressed it. There are multiple forum members who have used the Eibach kit and gave it great reviews. I do not work for them. Not trying to sway you into one brand over another. Some people like the Bilstein shocks but others have commented on how firm they are over stock. If doing long wash boards I would consider the 2R or 3R although I would still think the 2R will do what you need for less money.

That’s why you go to the manufacturer and not different shops. The techline knows all the specs and will give you truthful info. Eibach has only been in business since the 1950’s.

This is the response from Eibach:

“The kit we list for the Tremor is the same kit that is listed for the regular F150 4x4's Due to the Tremor being lifted from the factory, you will see less lift out of the box. You should see approximately 1.3" of lift depending on production tolerances on your truck. The Stage 2 kit is designed to work on a stock truck with no other modifications and with that in mind, we had to limit full extension on the shocks. Adding any more travel would have required other modifications to the truck, which we try to avoid when we develop the Eibach Pro Lift kits. “

So for those of you that have installed the Stage 2 kit on your Tremor, can you confirm? Is 1.3” lift about what you got out of the front end? Was that at the factory preload setting? Or was what cranked up and maxed out?

This is how it looks a 2.5" front lifted truck with OEM tires and almost 800 lbs of load in the bed + 5 adults inside.

Well said. It also reduces your ground clearance. A lot of people think Ford includes the rake so that the truck doesn't squat as bad when you attached a trailer to it. While this may be true to some extent, I think they also do it to increase fuel economy. When you level a truck and get rid of the ridiculous air dam (which the Tremor thankfully doesn't have), your fuel economy goes into the toilet.

So the rake has benefits sure. It just doesn't look very good.
I needed all the approach angle I could get last weekend.

The ProTruck 2r kit won't get you level. I tried it. Still needed a 1/2 puck to get "level ish"
