What's new

New 2024 Tremor Avalanche 402A Owner

well, its 4 more than i have since for some unknown reason, the 402A in 2021 didn't get front sensors, yet the 401A did....
mine has sensors out the wazoo...6 in the front and 6 in the rear. Maybe it was one of those chip cuts?

The four side firing sensors were included with the Co-Pilot Active (BlueCruise) package in 2021 and 2022; presumably the same for 2023. They were used for Active Park Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist back then, as well as additional regions for proximity sensing when parking

..however, starting 2022 they removed a chip from the IPMA that made use of these four sensors, so they were not actually used for anything (hence the APA delete). Some of us added a 2021 IPMA (with the missing chip) and got Active Park Assist, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and the additional park sensing regions working again; you're not really missing out on much.

@KnightTremor can you confirm that the upfitter wiring location is the same on you new baby? are the bundles next to the battery?

Even just a part # for the bumper...and I'd guinea pig one if a dealer would order one for me

Bumper Assembly: RL3Z-17757-AA
RH Cap (where foglight is): RL3Z-17E784-BA
LH Cap: RL3Z-17E785-BA
Center grille (5.0): RL3Z-17E785-BA
Plastic Cover LH: RL3Z-17E811-YA
Plastic Cover RH: RL3Z-17E810-YA
Spacer: RL3Z-17A923-A
LH Valence Panel (fills gap between bumper and upper trim piece): RL3Z-17626-BF
RH Valence Panel: RL3Z-17626-BE

Basic components for the main bumper. There's quite a few bits and bobs and hardware to flesh out but I too have been wanting to do this swap. Once the dynamic headlights stop being a supply constraint the new grille will release with them on 402A. The new front end is 100% bolt on friendly. Fenders and hood have gone unchanged as well as mounting points. Take that with a grain of salt as this was just my eyeball math during testing.

This is getting interesting.
Looking forward to seeing and reading about the first complete installation from a TREMOR owner who’s interested in this swap.

Happy to say I took ownership of a new 2024 Tremor yesterday. I am coming from a 2022 f250 platinum and have to say I love the new truck. I picked it up from a dealer that was located along the way of a 7 hour round trip I had planned so I was able to put on 300 miles in the last 24 hours and man the truck is amazing. All positive things to say so far. Now the mod obsession will takeover the truck search…..
Ecoboost or V8?

Thanks for this! Should be an invaluable asset.

@RDJ in another thread posted a pdf of an exploded view of the entire assembly. That should help with all the extra doodads

Nice. Glad to see the bumper swap is in the works. Looking forward to see if it works out. I can't see why it shouldn't.

And congrats OP on the slick new Tremor.

Congrats on your 24 402A Tremor, I'm glad for you, but seriously the odds of getting one of these is like hitting Mega millions. It's really getting pathetic that we are all willing to shelling out $80-90K w/tax and begging Ford for our orders. I knew in Feb when I placed my order this would be a while, but I thought by May I would at least have a build date for June? Still Nothing. Sold my Raptor last month for a good price but now realize I was stupid to think Ford would have their act together by now.

I don’t think there’s much of a constraint on said headlights since all 502A Lariat’s and up come with the same headlights.

Yeah I think it was a choice to give an $80K+ (402a all options of course) truck the same lighting set up as the lower end models. Dumb and ugly in my opinion. Don't get me wrong. Still a beautiful truck and I'm pumped for the original poster. I would still definitely consider this truck if I were in the market. Although the prices are getting way out of hand.

My local Ford dealer has a 402a Avalanche gray tremor on the lot. Stopped to check it out last night. I do really like the front bumper. But I don’t see why it’s a $80k truck. Looks downgraded with the grill and lights. Is there anything different/new with the chassis/suspension set-up? Don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s a great platform.

Just looked at Ford.com's inventory 100 mile radius from me. There is one 402a black 64 miles from me. Several 401a in various colors. None have the pro access tailgate (might only be an option on 402a).

The 2024 grille is growing on me. I'm starting to like it a lot.

If you really think about it, one is really getting more in the 2024 402A compared to the 2023 402A package.

With that being said, if the 2025 402A package gets the dynamic headlights and the package price goes up another $2K, people will have something else to complain about. 😎

Love it outside of the super gay glowing ford emblems . Come on ford

If you really think about it, the Raptor is about the same price as the new Tremor high, for the same equipment but vastly higher performance. And no, Raptors don’t go over sticker anymore, they are easy to find at MSRP.

Hard to understand the price increase on the Tremor.

I was also super lucky and found one on the dealer lot local to me. It had been there 2 days with 7 miles. Purchased on May 1. I'll update with pictures.
