New Audio System Update

Definitely noticeable and enhanced. The bass is stronger, but the surround is the most enhanced to me. There is a good bit more separation and more prominent center channel and overhead that wasn't as present before. Played a couple I'm quite familiar with on Apple Music - Beck/Wow and Spunkshine/Unobtanium and both hit very nicely.
Surround was definitely the biggest change. Cup your ears to the headrest speaker (while safely parked) and you will see how much more prominent they are.

Just tried out SiriusXM after the update - huge difference! Ford may have been either limiting bit rate from that source and/or just simply had a crappy codec and implementation of it in the B&O system. Either way, it went from a flat turd that I never could stomach listening to into a pretty decent source now. The surround and base enhancements in general to the system have really helped this source as well. This update was certainly substantial in regard to audio all around.

I’m still waiting on the update for my 2023 402A. It sounds like a promising change.

With this update for the unleased system.. Now I'm not sure if I still want to upgrade the sub. I was about to purchase:

Hmmmmm, is the update that good?? I have the 23" 402a with no update yet. The JL stealth box is a great box! Will wait til the update.

I purchased my '23 with 402A last Monday so I've had it a little over a week. Still learning the in's and outs but is there a way to force the update? I asked the system to check for updates and it said that none were available

Unfortunately not...rolls out by either serial number or production date - something. My buddy's Tremor gets updated way before mine and we can only figure that he's had his about 6 months more than myself.

I do feel like the bass is better? But I may still get the JL Stealthbox as planned.

Nope.
You’re just going to have to wait until it’s available for your VIN#.
Even though your vehicle might be the same model year as others who’ve received the update, Ford never pushes any updates to all vehicles at the same time.

Dang I have to check I don't know if I got my update on my 22! Kind of excited, I haven't been super depressed about the system really so hopefully it will even be better. Sadly it's in the body shop for a bit getting $12,000 damage fixed. (had a water truck run in to my garage, long story) Really unfortunate as I just put the truck in the garage. :(

It sounds like we'll definitely know when we receive the update but I just wanted to double check. My last update was a power improvement with the battery etc. I can't find any other history. Is there a way to check all past updates on the app?

I had the battery one just before this one. I looked for history in the app and i couldnt find anything.

Received mine last night on regular B&O, im super impressed. 23my. 3.5eb
I have the system on a leash as well. For my purposes I'm actually mostly ok with it but wouldn't turn down an update if it makes it better. Still no idea how to tell if I got an update. I'll breakdown and google it...

I got in my truck last night and the screen showed an update needed to happen. Told me to update now, and get out of the truck. Said truck would be unavailable for up to 7 min. I pressed update now and a 2 min counter started. Then it updated. I received the battery one last week. It showed it wasn't completed.

Got mine on 7/29... interesting on roll out. I will say that you can safely move your fading back to normal vs the 'behind the cupholder' method. Sounds more balanced overall now. Not sure how much better it is, but definitely more balanced.

Got an oil change tonight and was asking if they could "push" this update sooner...no joy at the local dealer. Hoping my building date/ ser #/ whatever is in rotation soon. This sounds (no pun) like a great update. - Rob

I have mine scheduled to happen at 1am each morning but I don't recall getting any notification that I've ever gotten an update. Had the truck for a month now.
