Just a heads up if you have the adaptive steering or blue cruise, this wheel will not work with those features. Raptors don't have the adaptive steering so the wheels don't have the motor that turns the wheel, and one or two other sensors.

Not sure how that would be since the hardware doesn't exist in the raptor wheel. My BlueCruise works fine with a Raptor steering wheel in my truck.
What hardware are you referring to? The only additional hardware would be for vehicles that have steering assist. It’s an added feature in the Platinum and Limited models. Steering assist isn’t required for bluecruise. Not sure how that would be since the hardware doesn't exist in the raptor wheel.![]()
That's what I'm saying, if you have steering assist, which the 402A has, that feature doesn't work with the raptor because they don't have that. There is a motor in the wheel that actually turns the wheel. Bluecruise relies on steering assist, it doesn't work without that. You don’t need adaptive steering or the motor for bluecruise. I currently have a lariat 502a with bluecruise. The lariat doesn’t have the optional adaptive steering. I’ve had another truck on order since January 27th that should have adaptive steering, but we’ll see if Ford removes it or not. That's what I'm saying, if you have steering assist, which the 402A has, that feature doesn't work with the raptor because they don't have that. I'm not sure what you mean by bluecruise works fine without adaptive steering since you need the adaptive steering for bluecruise to work... Do you have a video of the raptor wheel turning itself and working as hands free?
So what does your bluecruise do if it doesn't steer the truck by itself? That's just cruise control. Not trying to be difficult, just trying to understand. Bluecruise has two versions, the lite which requires a movement from your hand every 30-45 seconds and the full hands free. But both of them steer the truck for you, which is the adaptive steering. You don’t need adaptive steering or the motor for bluecruise. I currently have a lariat 502a with bluecruise. My truck does hands-free driving (BlueCruise) and it does not have the adaptive steering (motor in steering) feature. Adaptive steering just makes it easier to turn. It’s not for self driving. I’ve had it in a few of my Audi’s and in a Volvo. So what does your bluecruise do if it doesn't steer the truck by itself? That's just cruise control. Ok makes sense now. So tremors don't have the adaptive either? My truck does hands-free driving (BlueCruise) and it does not have the adaptive steering (motor in steering) feature. Bluecruise will work. I can send you a video of it later. This is a photo of my stock lariat steering wheel.Ok makes sense now. So tremors don't have the adaptive either?
If so that's be great, would love to have the raptor wheel with paddle shifters. But want all my bluecruise to work.
Here’s a crappy photo of Bluecruise activated with the steering wheel. It’s hard to get a good photo at 0430.Ok makes sense now. So tremors don't have the adaptive either?

Nice! Did you use a guide or writeup to do the swap? Here’s a crappy photo of Bluecruise activated with the steering wheel. It’s hard to get a good photo at 0430.
There’s a video on YouTube, but it’s pretty easy. You need some torx sockets and a flathead screwdriver.Nice! Did you use a guide or writeup to do the swap?
That looks great! And I assume all the features including the paddle shifters and heated steering wheel are working as they should? Here’s a crappy photo of Bluecruise activated with the steering wheel. It’s hard to get a good photo at 0430.
Mine isn’t prewired for the shifters to work, but you can add the wiring to make them work. Everything else works. I sell them. I have a few code orange wheels and one with black stitching. That looks great! And I assume all the features including the paddle shifters and heated steering wheel are working as they should?
Where did you get the steering wheel?
401a? I thought that certain trims the paddle shifters just worked without additional wiring.Mine isn’t prewired for the shifters to work, but Lawrence Giles makes a harness. Everything else works. I sell them. I have a few code orange wheels (raptor r red stitching) and one with black stitching.
Some are prewired. Usually the 02a models.401a? I thought that certain trims the paddle shifters just worked without additional wiring.
Thats what I thought and am hoping for. I have been messaging you on FB about one of your wheels. I am hoping to hear from my dealer what they are going to do for me since they sold my '22 out from under me that I ordered back in Feb. I am going to end up with a '23, just not sure when now. Some are prewired. Usually the 02a models.
If you order a ‘23 you’ll probably get it before I get my ‘22 that I ordered in JanuaryThats what I thought and am hoping for. I have been messaging you on FB about one of your wheels.
