I was thinking about getting a hilift jack, also because it can be used for more than just jacking up the vehicle. I wanted to mount it above the wheel well, on the driver side since I have the swing case on the passenger side. I saw someone on Amazon did it already (attached). Do you guys see any downside to doing this? I'd have to drill into the bed.

Looks good so long as the lift arm doesn't drop into your bed. I'll be using my builtright panels to do the same thing

Thanks man. Could you link your panels?

Sorry, got distracted
Damn forum got me again...those panels are way too cool and functional. They even have the cutout for the outlet. Rip my wallet.

Going to return my swing case and just get some molle pouches for the one side I got it for.

Ha! I love that channel.
I'm not sure why, but I love it.

And I'm thinking the kinetic is the way I'm going. I don't plan on towing anything but I DO plan on getting the truck stuck a few dozen times.
I have almost exclusively used a snatch strap for recovery over the past 30 years, and I will not leave home without it. It is unreal what you can get unstuck with kinetic energy. Never used a kinetic rope (same principle), I feel the snatch strap stows away better.

@Yeti could you share the measurements of the small and large panel? I can't find them anywhere online. Trying to figure out a molle pouch setup for them.

Yeah @Yeti thanks I just placed an order for the panels, those are the best option I've seen for the use I need them for.

Give me a bit and I'll get them posted

Yeah, this is my first time using them but I like the overall idea and use. I'll be mounting my compressor and high lift, next. I do wish I could get my double rotopax on but that and the maxtrax are not happening the way I envisioned

I'm thinking of mounting the ARB to it as well. What mounts will you use?

Edit: Ordered the molle nuts to mount the ARB easier, the straps for the hilift. I also just got the molle pouches from them because they look really high quality and are the right sizes from the get go. Super excited for these panels.

Which brand name and size strap are you using?

Honestly, I could not tell you a brand on mine, Its 4"X30'. I have had it since the dawn of time...never let me down so no need to replace it. ARB makes a line of Snatch Straps. If I had to replace mine I would likely buy ARB.

I cannot recommend them enough. You don't want to tow anything with it, as they are made to stretch and must relax again after use, don't want to have a prolonged load on the strap. For dynamic recoveries you WILL get someone unstuck with a snatch strap.

Great info Stice1.
Ill keep the tow strap at home and find an ARB to keep in the truck.

My kit (all around, more than recovery):

- hilift extreme
- ARB compressor
- tow strap 3" x 20'
- 7/8" x 20' kinetic rope
- synthetic soft shackles
- tie down straps and bungees
- led road flares with Lithium batteries
- socket set, wrench set, screwdriver set, impact drill, other misc tools
- solid set of gloves
- camping towel
- poncho that doubles as tarp
- foldable e-tool
- first aid kit with trauma items
- 2.5 lb fire extinguisher
- extra lithium batteries
- flashlight
- gotreads XL
- recovery rope dampener mat
- zip ties
- para cord
- extension chord with triple
- 12 hour glowsticks
- weatherproof heavy duty tape
- instant jump started that doubles as a charger/battery for accessories
- tire punch kit
- wd40
- big Wipes heavy duty Wipes
- tow hitch
- cargo bar

Picked up the builtright panels to mount some of these items to along with the molle pouches, and the underseat storage should fit the rest organized properly.

Usually have my spyderco para 3 and glock 19.

Few grand in preparedness but the way I see it, no point in having a truck that isn't equipped and capable. I also work in construction so a lot of it gets multi-use, and you never know when you'll need the rest, even in Miami which isn't a big nature or snow area. I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. 🤷‍♂️

I've used about 70 or 80% of the items I carry previously. When I switched from my previous truck to my GTI, I still carried most of it minus the tow stuff and it all got use on the jobsite or helping others. Glad go be back to a full size truck, can't wait to pick up the Tremor and kit it out.
