Waiting to find a position to transfer to our Houston office.

My kit (all around, more than recovery):

- hilift extreme
- ARB compressor
- tow strap 3" x 20'
- 7/8" x 20' kinetic rope
- synthetic soft shackles
- tie down straps and bungees
- led road flares with Lithium batteries
- socket set, wrench set, screwdriver set, impact drill, other misc tools
- solid set of gloves
- camping towel
- poncho that doubles as tarp
- foldable e-tool
- first aid kit with trauma items
- 2.5 lb fire extinguisher
- extra lithium batteries
- flashlight
- gotreads XL
- recovery rope dampener mat
- zip ties
- para cord
- extension chord with triple
- 12 hour glowsticks
- weatherproof heavy duty tape
- instant jump started that doubles as a charger/battery for accessories
- tire punch kit
- wd40
- big Wipes heavy duty Wipes
- tow hitch
- cargo bar

Picked up the builtright panels to mount some of these items to along with the molle pouches, and the underseat storage should fit the rest organized properly.

Usually have my spyderco para 3 and glock 19.

Few grand in preparedness but the way I see it, no point in having a truck that isn't equipped and capable. I also work in construction so a lot of it gets multi-use, and you never know when you'll need the rest, even in Miami which isn't a big nature or snow area. I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. 🤷‍♂️

I've used about 70 or 80% of the items I carry previously. When I switched from my previous truck to my GTI, I still carried most of it minus the tow stuff and it all got use on the jobsite or helping others. Glad go be back to a full size truck, can't wait to pick up the Tremor and kit it out.
Great list Cranbery!
I cannot emphasize enough how awesome it is to see other peoples kits in list form.
I live in the dessert so my item list will differ from others, but seeing these really makes me question my choices and think about possible additions. Its a great exercise.

Question:
Do you find yourself using the hi-lift enough to justify the space? I have some friends that swear by the bottle jack W/ some type of mat/riser under for extra height. I'm new to the serious 4X4 world and just wondering if I should be looking at the hi-lift mounting options or what. Is it worth the space?

I'm sure you mean a thousand rounds of *every* common ammo.

:D
I keep 9mm, 5.56, 6.5 creedmoor, 7.62x51 and 12 gauge buckshot. Those are common calibers and I figure if the SHTF I'll be able to pick up something that fires one of those, plus those are all calibers I have.

That'll do it!
I think you could swap out the 6.5 with 9mil and still have pretty good luck.
I read somewhere that 9 mil is the most utilized round out there other than the 22lr. But the 5.56/7.62X56 combo alone has you pretty well covered on this continent... well heck and ALL the continents really.
But what you got is a great load out as it is.
I only carry 5.56/12 gauge/.45. I should add some 7.62 on there as well now that you point it out.

Big reason I got the builtright bedside panels is to mount the ARB and the hilift so they are out of the way. It's basically dead space where they are mounted so it makes it a win win imo.

The hilift is more than a jack for me, it can be used to pull straps, tighten things, and also expand and open what you need to. It's really versatile. If you can mount it like a bedside panel or similar I think it's really worth it. To be honest don't 4x4 a lot but the other uses are great and when I do go offroad or trip to the mountains, I feel easy having it.

I dont have the truck yet, hopefully it gets delivered this week and I can pick it up next. When I mount everything I'll post pics.

6.5 creedmoor is my 1200 yrd rifle, the further you can pick'em off the less you deal with up close.

I just ordered the built right panels the other day for the same purpose....curse @Yeti for turning me on to them, I think they will be perfect to keep everything tidy and still let you use the bed.

Someone else damned me, I'm just sharing the information to help keep America's economy going :)

Stop talking about these damn things!!! I’ve closed the order page 5 times already, don’t know if I can do it again!🤣

It was me... you totally got me lol. I returned the swingcase and bought the bedside panels, the molle pouches, AND the mounts.

@Cheif2Slo you should totally get them!

Side note: I also got their rear seat latch.
