Removal of rear blocks?

Any trouble with the alignment pins mating as the truck was lowered back onto the axle? I can't get mine to line up, its like the spring needs to shift towards the rear of the truck by 1/2" but I can't see how or why.
When ever I did it I would just reposition the axle.

Can you elaborate just a bit? Would that imply that both side need to be loose from the springs? At the moment I am attempting to do one side at a time with the wheels still on the ground. Not sure how to “adjust” the axle.

Thanks in advance.

No you don’t have to loosen both sides. When I did mine it did the same thing so just made sure the weight of the truck was supported and jacked up the axle pumpkin just enough to give it some play to line it up.

I replaced my rear blocks a few days ago and had the same problem with the holes and pins not lining up. This is what worked for me. I did one side at a time . I greased both the pins and holes on the new block and put the block in place with a couple of inches of slack in the U-Bolts. I jacked up the back of the truck with a hydraulic jack under the receiver hitch as high as possible. I lowered the jack quickly and the the falling leaf springs fell into place with a loud popping sound. I hope this will help those who have had problems.

Yeah I tried to remove the blocks myself with the truck on the ground and just using a floor jack to push the leafs up. I had the same exact issue. I think the only way to get the pins to line up is to have the axle off the ground. I ended up just taking it to a shop and having them do it real quick.

Got mine removed yesterday and put 2.5 degree shims in their place. Exactly what was suggested, had to keep the leaf spring up in the air and raise the axle to meet it basically before the holes aligned. So much better looking now.

I’m looking into changing the blocks and noticed a couple small linkage bars right behind the top of the rear tires. Any idea that they are for and will it effect them when going with the 1” blocks?

Headlight leveling. I don’t think they’d be too much of an issue but you can prob adjust em if needed

I found a few post but thought while I was doing it to snap a few pics. I’ve done this on my last 2 Fords, but on both 2014 & 18 I removed the block. On the Tremor I’m not looking to make it level, just take a bit of the rake out so I’ll be switching the rear blocks for a FX4 block from my 2018 and the wedged Tremor blocks about 1 1/4” difference.
You’ll need the blocks, new u bolts and new
bolts.

Loosen the nuts 13/16 put a floor jack under the spring just in front of the axle. Raise the springs up just enough to get the Tremor block out about 1/2” above the block. Switch it out with the smaller one, lower the spring down and make sure the 2 pins are seated. Change out the u bolts and snug it up with equal spacing on everything.

Torque the nuts 26 cross pattern 52, 74 then 98 then after 100 or so km re torque.
Turned out as I thought just took a bit of the rake out and should work well with the plan for a slide in camper and hauling the boat

How big is the factory rear block???

is that Fender Badge smooth with no script ?
Yes, there was a 1-2 month supply chain shortage in 2022 where they couldn't get proper badges. The badges were made available a few months later to get swapped out.
