What's new

Show off your Boat.

@Fozzy you’re a boater too? We have more in common than just the Tremor and living in Utah it looks like. Nice! You do any surfing behind that Yamaha?

We just spent 2 weeks at Powell. We have a houseboat out of Wahweap.

Although I’m still waiting on my truck… still hasn’t shipped yet. Not sure if it ever will at this point.

I live in Riverton, Rock Port is my favorite local area. We usually do Mead, but all the marinas are closed but Hemenway Harbor. It's on the Vegas side and has 2 hour waits to launch and retrieve. You can get more glass at Mead in one day than a lifetime at Jordenell or years at Powell. We do try and surf with the boat. We have the Yamaha surf kit and the extra bags. I am 6'2" and 300 lbs of muscle fat. I can't go rope less. Anyone 200 and under can with a big board. It's a great boat for the money. We where looking at real wake boats, but with Mead dying, having a $200K boat to go fight the crowds and chop doesn't interest us anymore.

My buddy in his Bu' shredding glass all day with no other boats in site but us.

Nice! I’ve never been to Mead or to Rockport actually! We live in east Salt Lake so Rockport is possibly the closest reservoir to us that we could boat at. Maybe we will have to try it out sometime! We are usually getting pounded at Jordanelle or Deer Creek with the waves and chop. We like Pineview as well… but again, it can get super busy on the weekends.

Mead sounds awesome as well! But that’s a long drive unless we could work a few days into a trip.

Here is a us tied up in Powell last month. We may need to meet up and hang out sometime!

New project I picked up last night. Grady White 180 Sportsman. Has a problem with the oil system on the XO66 so I got it right. May fix it or repower with a new 4 Stroke.

Unless you find one heck of a deal on the motor, if it's fixable then fix it, if I saw right that's a 150, which translates roughly to $15k for a new one.

Yep. $15 is what I've planned. I only have $10k in the boat. If I can get this Yamaha running well, I may run it for a season then decide what to do. I could sell it for 4-5k if is running which would offset the cost of the new one. I also may try to find a low hour, couple year old 4 stroke.

Motor runs so I think I can get it fixed one way or another.

What’s the plan for the skiff? I’m in the market.
Selling it. You are the third person to ask about it. Haha. What do you think it's worth? Hull is rough but serviceable. 40 Horse Merc is almost brand new, 50 hours.

Dude, now a days it’s hard to say. Down here in Charleston probably 8-11k. I’m looking for a 19’-21’ and truthfully about a year out.

Oh yeah, this is probably a little small for you then.

Man, looks like a lot of you guys actually use your trucks for.... truck stuff. And here I am, living in the middle of the city buying my Tremor to mall-crawl with the occasional trip to a mountain cabin. 🤣

This is what got me looking for a new truck, the boat took 8 months to get built and I never thought a new truck would take longer but here I am waiting.

Gotta be PNW? We don't see boats like that on the East Coast very much. At least not in the South

Ohio version…

Tennessee version (project on cleaning her up but runs and skis great). And apparently I haven’t taken any pictures with either
since I got the Tremor, guess I need to rectify that.
