Tremor Amber Grille lighting

Underrated post. This is an awesome idea.
Obviously a red line for our emergency response friends may be against a law or two.

Just wanted to chime in and say great job! I love seeing stuff like this. I will say I was a fan of the look when you had it up at the top where it looked like it connected the two headlight leds. Would be cool to see that as a switchback LED where you could change it from white to amber. Pipe dreams!

Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to create my own thread rather than burying updates in the “tremor specific accent lighting” thread.

When I first saw the tremor’s orange grille stripes, I immediately thought they would look awesome as accent lighting. So I set out to make it happen and this was the result:

I’ve been busy working on making my design something that I’m willing to provide to people. My current design, although effective, is rather rough around the edges.

I spent some time actually modeling a design, 3D printing it myself before ordering full size prints for fitment check. Seen here:

As you may notice, my newer design incorporates the same snap tabs to attach the strips to the grille that the trim pieces use.

I’ve also been working out the best lighting system and how to diffuse the light appropriately. So currently, I’m working with a supplier on a custom light strip that should provide a much more even light and also can function as a turn signal with sequential functionality(chasing lights in direction of turn).

At this point, I’m waiting on the first batch of production housings and the custom light strips to come in before sending the first few units out to some folks who have agreed to be beta testers. I’m hoping to do this by the end of august but it depends on how long it takes to get parts in hand.

Feel free to post any questions or comments and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
Need any beta testers in Canada?

Definitely interested in how this works out. I also saw the original Post in the LED lighting and thought it was a really good idea. I was actually wondering when I first saw the original pictures of the Tremor if that was a light to start with... should have been.

One big question is, is it easily uninstallable if needed? I know you said you were having it designed with the original clips, it would be great if it was easily returned to OEM status of needed.

Can't wait to see how it's looks with a diffused lighting look.

Removal should be no different than removing the trim pieces. It takes a little time since you have to take the grille off, but it’s pretty straight forward after that.

Let me know if you need an extra beta tester... I think you're in Jupiter just a couple of hours North of me, I can pick it up.

I saw on Instagram you did the Putco emblem, any chance you modify the white light to also be amber? That set would look killer.

Possibly could use another tester since you’re close. I’ll keep you posted.

I’m considering just tinting the logo to see how it looks. I don’t want to mess with opening up the putco and trying to change the light color.

Do one in blue and market them to police associations
That's the crazy thing, the F150 is being more and more used by police departments, last time I drove down 95 between Georgia and Florida I counted 14 F150 State Police within 20 miles either side of the state line! The Virginia state police currently has a confiscated Raptor they are using as a chase vehicle locally.

Got a surprise delivery today of the first batch of production housings!

I’m really pleased with how they look!

Now to wait for the light strips to come in.

Looks good!

These look great! Awesome thinking and innovating. I'd be highly interested as well here in TX.
