Tremor Amber Grille lighting

Just installed my grille lights- super pleased with how they turned out. Although it did take us much longer than expected to install. My dad damaging one of the light bars black ground pins connectors didn’t help as we had to play around with the soldering gun to get it fixed. Took us multiple attempts to get it right. I echo everyone’s statements about widening the hole to drill in grille to help with clean wire install (it’s a bit tough) as if you don’t widen up the added hole a bit it can make the led light bars push inward and not be flush. We widened the hole slightly over and over as we struggled to get the wire to sit right and through the additional hole. So that added a lot of time as well. To those who have yet to install. Remove the battery and battery tray so you if you plan to connect to an auxiliary switch. It’ll give you much more room and only takes a 5 mins or so to remove those. Follow his instructions and watch the videos. And have a dad that can show you how to do some of the electrical 😅.

Well Done!

My truck has just now progressed to "in production" status, but this will be one of my first mods once I bring her home. @Cblaxx19 any updates on when you will have another batch through production and available to order? It looks like Putco has a patent on the LED Ford logo but it doesn't look like they offer it in amber. I think the amber LED light bar with matching amber Ford logo would really pop but still maintain that "factory clean" appearance . . .

I have recently gotten a pretty good quote from a new supplier. i'm still discussing with them the details while also waiting for another quote to come back. hopefully i'm not too far off from taking another round of preorders.

i will say that i've enjoyed not working on light bars every bit of free time i have....

i've considered the trying to make the Putco emblem amber as well. I was going to try just tinting it and seeing how it looked. i'm not going to get into opening it up and trying to change the led color though.

What's the color code for the plug and play harness you sent out? I have Green, Orange and Black wires coming out. Thanks

Let me know when its ready to purchase .

Black is ground, green is drl, orange is turn signal.

Thanks so much, I have to be one of the last early adopters to get theirs installed. Everything fit nice and tight. The complaints about the wire length I feel would only be a concern if you had someone else working on the truck. If the dealer or someone took the grill off not knowing how they were installed the wires would be tight for them. I am not a fan of how the Putco emblem looks when it's off or in the daylight. Just looks cheap compared to the factory one. But at night I think the white DRL's with the white Ford logo ties in the amber grill lights. Amber DRL's would be killer.

Love it, it's not even dark yet and all the lights are bright as can be.
Great job and thanks again.

Looks great! Appreciate the feedback!

Also, I’ve only seen pics of installs from a handful of the 50 sets I’ve sold. Not sure if people are just sitting on them or what. I wish everyone would send me installed pics. At least then I know they didn’t have any major issues.

I think you’re the first to say the putco looks cheap. I liked it cause it got rid of the chrome.

Would love to know how to get on the list. Left e-mail address on website. Been watching for open orders. No luck

Looks like the line is going to be long. I'll bet there's more than 100 interested.
There is no list. I’ll open preorders when I’m ready to take more. It’s just a first come first serve situation.

@Tremor14 you are probably right. I’m thinking I’ll take 100 orders and spread them out 25/month like I did the first round. This will at least let people get orders in and let’s me plan for the quantities better. Then I’ll try and ship more than 25/month if possible.

I’m a bit better at it after making the first 50.

Brand spankin’ new to the group and stumbled on this right out of the gate. My Tremor is in production as of March 6, and kind of in limbo, but I’m already spending cash on goodies. This is a must. I’ll be looking for the next pre-order! I’ve been wondering when someone was going to do this.

I know better than to get on these forums, but I can’t resist letting everyone else help me spend my money!😂. Looking forward to seeing what you all have done with these great trucks!

Well ~ DAY # 1 with @Cblaxx19 amber grill lights. My Grill will consist of the Amber Tremor lights, Putco FORD logo, amber raptor lights and the side vent Amber LED's. Holy shit, expert on the Ford Grill now, but OMG. I took my time, removing louver section and separated from the grill. Did the Dremel work on sanding all the "T"'s and as others have mentioned, I drilled a bigger hole (at screw) and utilized the dremel drill bit to cut to accommodate a better fit for the wire. I then zip tied raptor light wires and utilized gorilla tape to run the wires in the channel at the top of the grill, and neatly ran the PUTCO wire in center channel of the of the grill making a neat install. Everything went back together pretty easily, with all wires run behind the headlights. DAY # 2 will connect on the wires. I have PUTCO and Tremor lights PnP hardnesses. Passenger head light will tadem PUTCO harness, Tremor harness and will tie in the passenger side Vent LED. Drivers side will have Tremor PNP harness and will tie in the Raptor lights and drivers side Vent LED. Will also add the COBB shroud, coolant cover & bracket, as well as install the S&B CAI. Will post pics when completed.

that’s a lot of lights. But I can’t really say anything since I have ditch lights and a whole 30” of amber backlit pods behind my grille.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

That's really nice. I love this look on white.

DAY #2 - Today I finished & connected all wiring, and zip tied to make sure everything was neat. WOW!! Extremely pleased on how they came out. These lights are awesome and definitely worth the time it took to install. I didnt want the side vent lights to be TOO bright, so I mounted them on the backside of the vents. I will increase my DRL brightness to 60 or 75% which should make then a little brighter, since they are wired into the DRL's. See pics, I also took quick video of the blinka, which is impressive. Big thanks to @Cblaxx19 !! I also installed the S&B Cold air intake and put my bed rug in. Tomorrow I will install the COBB shroud, scoop bracket, coolant cover and my oli catch can.
