I'm also looking for the orange strip take off. I hit a turkey. so if anyone is willing to sell please let me know.

I'm so torn. I have mine just sitting in my garage, but I don't want to get rid of them.

Just the thought if these lights ever break or something like that where I would have them to fall back on.

How much are they through the Ford parts site? Has anyone checked?

I have not found a part number yet... Maybe you could see if there is a number on yours.

It’s probably a valid part number. One ends in 06 and the other in 07 but the first half is for a grille. May not be available separately.

That's possible; I discovered ages ago when trying to locate parts for 50 year old cars that the number on the part is usually a casting number or sub assembly number. The actual part numbers were listed in the dealer parts manual.

Finally got mine installed. Been too busy having to go to work.. I was apart of the 2nd batch, actually got these before I got the truck.. Took my time to do them. Looks very cool

and happy how it turned out.

As I take in feedback from all the current owners, one of the biggest pain points seems to be my current 3 pin molex connector between the light bars and the voltage regulator boxes. I never liked this connection as it’s not waterproof and it seems to be rather fragile since a number of folks have broken the connector or a pin in the process of removing the connector housing to feed the wires through the prescribed hole in the grille.

I want to make that connector a waterproof connector but that inherently makes it bigger and likely harder to take apart for most people which would mean a bigger hole needs to be drilled in order to pass the whole connector through the grille.

I could crimp the pins onto the wires and provide the housings to assemble the connectors after feeding wires through the grille. The assembly is pretty straight forward and only requires a flat head screwdriver.

I guess I’m looking for opinions on if this would be too complicated? Is a better connector truly valuable to folks?

I would be doing the same connectors on the plug n play harnesses as well.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback as I try to continue to improve on the design of these lights.

i would vote yes to the better connector, and crimp the wires but don't install in the housing either put a paint dot on the housing where each wire goes so no one can mess it up. (there's always that one guy that still will) I have connectors that I use for my side by side (yamaha oem connectors) no tools needed to install the pin into the housing, press the crimped wire into the housing till it clicks (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/330....order_list.order_list_main.62.7c261802z33cfP)

I don't think it would be too complicated. Putting a housing on myself is worth not drilling any bigger holes into my expensive truck lol

I would say most definitely worth it, even if price had to go up.
