Vibration in steering wheel and pedal

Feeling this too, more pronounced at highway speeds. Mild Vibration can feel through seat/floor and a bit through the steering wheel

Does your truck still do this? I’m experiencing the same damn thing which is how I landed on this thread. Had an alignment and balance done and it still does the same thing you describe. Around 60 mph on the highway is when it’s the worst

Honestly even when I did it was really mild. I ended up going to a dealership to test drive some other tremors and it was all the same. They checked the tire balance too and it was fine. Both the tech at the dealership and any passenger I drove would not notice it when I asked them.

I think I just did not notice this when I first bought the truck, and after a few weeks of driving I become more aware.

I ended up chalking it up to new owner anxiety, high expectations from me, and the shitty roads here. Don't get me started on Hwy 3 in Alberta or I-90 through Montana. Then I drove Hwy 2 up from the border and it was buttery smooth.

Now when I drive my 4Runner, Ford Escape, or the F350 work truck.. all 3 feel much much worse compared to the Tremor. I don't think they felt that bad before.

If you are worried I would go to the dealership and ask if you could test drive another tremor and compare

Sorry to chime in again here… has anyone confirmed the stock tires could legitimately be an issue? Tried the 4WD auto to 2WD and still shakes on highway. Balanced and aligned again too. Asking for a friend

What kind of shaking is it? Is it constant or random?

FWIW……I had a random intermittent steering wheel vibraton on my VW Touareg TDI when it was new. It wasn’t always there, but when it was, it made my expensive car feel like crap. We rebalanced tires multiple times and even put on a new set of the stock OEM Pirellis, wouldn’t go away. At 22k miles, I put on some high performance Michelins, and it drove like butter. I never had another problem with steering vibration again on that vehicle. Morale of the story is that tires can be bad from new, especially the larger sizes. So far, I haven’t had any problems with the Generals on my Tremor. 🤞

Funny side note…..I was thinking about buying a fun car. This is the last year you can buy a manual VW Golf GTI. I ended up buying a fun truck!

This Tremor has the acceleration of my Touareg, and the ride of an 80s’s Caddy…..I love it!

I appreciate your feedback. Never experienced this except with some BFG K02s I had on my old 4Runner. Thinking this might be my issue. I’ll tell the wife this is why I need new (wider) tires 🤪

50 mph+ is when I notice it. My wife said she can too. You feel a lot of vibration/road feedback in the petals and steering wheel and get a vibration to where the seats are shaking at times. Pretty consistently at highway speeds

I think a little bit of vibration/road feedback is normal.. honestly it's difficult to quantify something like this. Is it something you have to purposely look/feel for to notice?

Just seems to vibrate/shake more than it should at highway speeds, at all times. But I admit truck only has 1,700 miles on it so perhaps I could be overly concerned about what could be normal…

My buddy’s XLT drives solid with no vibration, that’s what I’m going off of

Does his XLT have all terrains? All terrains will feel rougher. Also the shocks on the tremor are different as well but with what your describing I'm fairly certain it's a tire thing.

Also.. what octane are you running? I doubt its because of this but I have noticed my 3.5 EB runs alot smoother on 91. Both the 3.5 EB and 5.0 Coyote benefit from premium gas. Timing is reduced to be able to run 87.

I really appreciate your input Freewayman! I burn 91 octane religiously because of what you mentioned.

As for my buddy’s XLT it does have A/Ts but not as large as ours on the tremor. Maybe I got a bad tire…

No worries least I could do is give some insight for a new tremor owner. I think your best bet if it bugs you would be to take it to the dealer and have a tech hop on a test drive with you. Make the most out of that warranty

Well this just happened. Got a flat that could not be repaired so ordered in a new tire. So essentially both my rears are brand new tread now. Actually made somewhat of a difference but it could have just been me as well.

Interesting! Sucks you got a flat but if it makes a difference then hell yeah. I notice mine does the vibrating intermittently. Almost like the tires have to fully warm up and it settles down. Once these wear out gonna go a different route. You should have bought that tire care BS when you bought it from Ford 🤪

I actually did haha.. although it is with a third party company Tricor. They gave me a free replacement tire for the flat tire (I couldn't patch it as it was a gash in the sidewall). I think the plan pretty much paid for itself already

Long time to come back to this thread!!!

Still feel it at 35k
Got new tires and didn’t really do anythjng

I give up…. I agree with a previous post that it is hard to quantify and it’s a feel when you drive it daily.

Don’t get me started on the rear cab noise lol

As to vibration that's why it was a concern for me ,because my 2015 xlt was a solid good truck, now since the issue with rear differential and fixed of course the truck is better but I'm a little off with it being almost a new truck at the time.
