Based on your sheet I'm not convinced your truck needs the motor. As said, we are under the impression ALL Tremors are assembled in Dearborn. Did they validate your VIN for the recall?

I thought the same thing. Followed up with my service advisor and he confirmed my VIN is tagged.

I've seen that, not sure how it was that close even with the older rated 3.5. In any case, 5.0 is a fine motor, just giving you shit.

Wow I can't believe that. Sorry to hear about your truck. I too have been experiencing some headaches with my new f150 purchase. Vibration in the gas pedal lead to new transmission... funny enough, that didn't fix it.

Well to make things more confusing I called Ford customer service and they cannot find said issue tagged to my VIN.

They told me to go to another dealership and get a second opinion.

That's rather sad when the company redirects you to another dealer. Like I said, not convinced you need the motorbut I could be wrong. I am with you, I would hate for them to disassemble my truck for a new motor, especially if it is not needed. The dealer will be motivated by the income generated from the warranty work.

Well I called my original dealer back and told them about my conversation with Ford.

My guy pulled up the VIN and noticed it was no longer flagged for the engine. He contacted Ford and they replied with "It has been identified that this VIN should not have been included in the program. No repair required."

So I guess I'll go get my oil changed now.

That drag race was the last gen F150. The current 3.5's make 400hp and 500 ft/lbs. I'd like to see a redo.

Not for the racing aspect haha, but the 3.5 does have more HP and better fuel mileage. Not to mention the company would give me compensation for it having a better EPA rating. Idk, the biggest thing that worries me bout the truck is the ridiculous shifting from 5th to 6th. Downshifting is a bit rough too. Even my Cummins with a 68RFE shifted better haha
