What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Did we ever settle on if the Livernois tune impacts any warranty? & how easy is it to return to stock? Is that traceable?

Warranty concerns is my only hang up

I went to schedule my service with Ford and they sent me to their other service center partner a few miles away so I hadn’t been to the dealership to ask them.

If I remember correctly the performance 93 tune, with an intercooler and performance air intake increased the horsepower by 67 hp which would actually out do the raptor in that this truck is lighter than the raptor.

What would you have rated acceleration before out of 10 and now with the tune?

Do you feel it’s worth the $?
6 before, 9 now. In normal mode.

Worth the money imo, also because you get better gas mileage.

You can go back to stock in 5 mins. For them to deny a warranty claim they'd have to specifically link the issue to your tune, and even identify you had one in the first place.

It's a grey area. Personally, warranties aren't like they used to be. It's not 100k mile anymore, it's 36k, which goes quick. The extended warranty i got mostly for the electronics, which won't be affected by the tune.

Not only that but as stated earlier livernois worked with Ford, not sure on what project but that's how they are the only one capable of doing a tune on the 21+ models. Nobody else has been able to crack it.

Installed the RAD Straps and a Livernois Tune!! The truck is so damn fast now! Totally worth it. I’ll try to get some pseudo 0-60 times tomorrow. Throttle tip in is perfect, like sport mode without holding the gear. Sport mode feels like a race at, the truck just want to jump as soon as you get in the gas.

I did not. This is my 3rd generation of F-150 with the 3.5l, I’ve tuned each one and never upgraded the intercooler. If I was a track junkie and going for the most power all the time then yea, heat soak is real and a better CAC would help substantially. For my stoplight hooning and shenanigans the factory CAC has been fine. I am considering it now just for the winch mount though.

That was going to be my question. Whether or not there was a noticable change in operating temperature.
I only have a few miles on it since the tune and those where with my foot stuck to the floor so no idea right now but if I notice anything I’ll let y’all know.

So when I get on it for back to back 0-60 pulls, I've gotten to about 216. That's as high as I got when I was doing a tough trail in GA. That trail was stock intercooler, with the livernois now I have the mishimoto intercooler.

Everyday driving i haven't noticed the temps go higher than normal with the tune, but I have noticed the mishimoto keeps cooler than the stock intercooler did in general, at least watching the temps over time that's what it appears as.

The everyday driving is significantly better though, the acceleration delay being gone is great. And you can still drive normal no problem, but you can punch it whenever you want. MPG seems better also.

Also, driving on the highway going between 60-85 (Miami is always congested, people 55 in the left lane), the truck just drives a lot better with response even at higher speeds and gears. I remember a 1 second delay punching it at 60 to go around someone where now it feels like driving a stick car and shifting at the smooth spot. Probably has to do with them having access to the tranny to tune.

Ok ok ok, take my money!! 😂

I am glad I saved a few dollars going through Granger, cause I’m pretty sure I’ve already exceeded those savings & im still a month+ from getting my truck!

What are you getting for 0-60 times since tuning? And what are you using to measure?

Livernois sent me the new tunes in a day, just installed the 93 performance one.

Truck is fast, real fast. Literally turned it into a raptor. Transmission is still learning but it's definitely better.

They were very helpful whenever I called, at first the instructions aren't super clear on what to do first, but you have to update the device before doing anything - that's why I couldn't get it to save my stock tune. After that, smooth sailing, very easy.

$700 for a raptor without the widebody and epeen, I'll take it.

Just need borla to release their exhaust 🙄
Where did you get it for $700? It’s $799 on livernoise sight. Just curious.

Installed my Airlift Ultimate air bags with cradles this weekend. (The ultimates have the internal jounce bumper.) Went in okay after some fiddling and figuring out how the cradles work. I plumbed both bags together, addeda gauge, and put the gauge and the schrader valve next to the license plate. Doing a 30psi leak down test overnight.

Also, experimented with a homemade vent light setup. Used some simple, cheap amber LED’s. I think I like em - not sure if they’re bright enough…but ya don’t want them TOO bright either. We’ll see. I wired them to the parking lamps.
