What's new

🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Not a super exciting upgrade, but I'm new here so I figured I would throw it up here. Had a leveling kit put on right after I bought the truck a little over a year ago. I wanted to wait until the stock tires wore out before I replaced them. The new 35's are great! Not super loud, no rubbing, and didn't really make the ride that much stiffer (new ones are load range F). Next up is the push bar with KC DayLighters and roll bar with KC DayLighters.View attachment 31012
What size and brand?

I tried to get the CarPlay fixed, the wireless playback. Was told by the dealership there is nothing they can do. Ford directly told them a patch should be in an upcoming update. Was a little upset, but supposedly it’s a common occurrence across all SYNC 4 equipped vehicles.

Halo 2.5 adjustable. Rides like a caddy and washboard roads seem like paved streets again!
Can’t wait to get the fronts on

Not just Ford btw, apparently it happens with GM’s as well. Colleagues of mine, have to turn the vehicle completely off when it happens to them. The whole no audio thing. I have 2 phones hooked up to my Tremor, I will just connect to the other phone and switch back to the one I want if I’m not getting audio. Super annoying, but it’s what works for me currently.
Maybe it’s an iPhone issue? Even plugging it in directly, I still have the random audio goblin.

Carplay is changing soon so wouldn't put it past some "growing pains"

Change? How so? They getting rid of Bluetooth?

Nah just 2.0 of it. Requires diff hw so I doubt most of us early models will get it. Could be Apple and or Ford fartin around with updates ahead of the release that are causing stability issues...just speculating.

I have to do that on mine. Shut down the truck, open the door, turn it back on and that usually fixes it. Happens a couple of times a week for me. Hope the update fixes it.

I like to be different, color matching. Hope to get it installed tomorrow. View attachment 31029View attachment 31028
Looks like antimatter blue, am I correct? What brand are the flares? Did you paint it yourself or did you have it done? Do you have a picture of these installed? Sorry so many questions just thinking of doing the same thing to mine.

Thanks

Got some camping in this week- slept in the bed under the SmartCap. Pretty comfy if you don't mind sleeping curled up.

Also did some suspension and tire testing in the mountains of West Virginia. I haven't rechecked torque on the suspension yet, but need to do that. Probably need another alignment as well- no hard hits or anything but it seemed like the Tremor had a tremor on the expressway this evening.

Next, we named it "Harrison". (Not a lot to do on the back roads, I guess, besides come up with names for the truck.

Lastly, I just ordered the Swarfworks hidden winch mount, which is finally back in stock (or so the website says), so hopefully I'll get that installed soon, and can install the Warn winch that recently arrived!

There, photo added so now it's official. This was at Holly River State Park. I'll discuss it a bit in the Camping thread.

Flexed the tremor a bit today on some easy to moderate trails at Uwharrie National forest. Not sure if it would have cleared as easy on the moderate trails without the level in the front. I’ll have to go back soon and get some pics.

Also installed the trailer brake controller kit in the tremor. It appears to be working but I have a hard code for the TRM - U2100 initial configuration not completed. Ford had a TSB for this issue from 2021 and how to fix it with FRDS. I’ll have to go back and see if I can do this fix with forscan somehow.

But I don’t have pics so none of this really happened. Lol

Has anyone done the CV FAB HOT AND COLD SIDE PIPING? AND WAS THERE REALLY A DIFFERENCE?
I just ordered my CV Fab High mount intercooler along with upgraded hot side piping so will see soon. I am sure it is overkill for a stock tune truck.

Took the RAS off for return. Going back to my original plans of airbags.

Not happy with the RAS system? What don’t you like? I was thinking about this system but they say it will raise the backend up an inch or so, I was shying away cause the tremor already is ass high!

It raised mine about 2". If I had immediate plans to level it that would be fine, but that's not my first priority right now. I still experienced porpoising ... which could be due to having it on the 40% setting. Lastly, when I was not towing, the damn things would squeak. I called their customer service to figure it out. Their initial thought was it was contacting the light leveling sensor but after triple checking it, it cleared fine. They agreed the squeaking was unacceptable and I took them up on returning the product.

I dont think the RAS is a bad setup or product, but given the issues I experienced, I decided it was not for me. Airlift on the way soon ...
