🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Like the truck, your Indian neighbors seem to have spent their money on the solar panels they prob don’t even use:/.
How can one not use solar panels that are installed.

Sad day for the tremor. Was stopped and got rear ended by a wrangler with a big ass bumper going 45 mph. I then hit the suv in front of me. Frame appears to be bent at the rear and I’m wondering if there’s more frame damage towards the middle due to how the bed is now sitting. Let’s say they total it. Do I remove the wheels/tires and borla exhaust or will they factor that in/can I claim the extras?

You'll likely need a public adjuster and a good body shop guy to fight the fight for a total. Took me 10 months and $7500 to get mine totaled with frame damage.

Do you still have the factory tires and wheels? Swap em out before dropping truck at body shop?

I’m really looking forward to all the bullshit that will ensue to get it taken care of. Unfortunately I sold them. I’ll buy something cheap on Facebook marketplace and swap them if they total it.

Hello all,
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. There are always great ideas on here. Here are a few things I've added to the truck, mostly aesthetic." I purchased the bracket for the pod lights from SpacewhiteF150 and the wiring harness from CBlaxx19. I extended the harness to power the ditch lights so the backlights would all be on one switch.
Holy crap man, looks beautiful!!!!!

If they total it and if you have a set of wheels and tires, just remove them. If it’s repaired, you should be compensated for the rear section of the Borla system but, if the vehicle is totaled, you should be compensated for the entire Borla system if that’s what was installed.
Since no airbags were deployed, there’s a 50% chance that the frame will be replaced and all of the damaged body parts will be replaced with used parts if available.

Remove it all. Keep everything you can. Insurance doesn't give you crap for things like exhaust and wheels. At least that's been my experience. I didn't have time to find a crummy set before insurance took everything without including any money for wheels and tires. Don't do what i did!

I'm getting pretty far down the mid list and starting to get thin on ideas that I actually want but today I swing for the fences and upgraded the drivers side wiper from a 22" to a 24" 🥳 highly recommend to anyone in the market for some new ones. Also put some new tires on incase anyone cares Toyo RT trail in a 315/75/17 load range D and boy do I love these tires.

Well I was going for the roll bar and brush guard look, but unfortunately after 3.5 months of waiting for Go Rhino, i ended up cancelling the roll bar... I think this was a good alternative though.

What’s the benefit of said drivers side wiper change.
Just curious.

Installed a fumoto valve while changing the oil.
I’ve thought about using one of these and from what I’ve heard, they’re very reliable but, I just can’t push myself to trust it.

More coverage so little better visibility out the window. Can't honestly see any downside so far. And I'll second the oil valve should be a must have for these engines I'd say it's a must have mod.

Just installed AutoStop Eliminator! No more need to press the button everytime I start up the truck to turn off autostop and no need to mess with steering events on Forscan. Also, this way I can still use AutoStop when I want to (i.e. stopped at railroad crossing). I got it at a discount (I think it's still going on) so for around $80.

For those of you who don't know, this device basically keeps the setting you have selected throughout engine cycles. If auto stop is enabled, it will remain enabled. If you press the button to disable it, AutoStop will still be disabled even if you shut the truck off and turn it back on.

Installing it was straightforward, just needed to remove two trim pieces held together by clips on the dash. Remove the connector for the button and install the auto start stop in between.

Works like a charm!

So glad my 23 never came with it. I did install this on my wife’s 24 Everglades, hands down the best simplest mod.

I did some testing today, finally. The only nearby trail has a water feature that, on last measurement, was about 2 feet deep with soft mud underneath, so I hadn't been brave enough to risk going through it, but since it hasn't rained in several days (aside from this morning and some during the drive) I decided to risk it. Turns out someone has re-done the road entirely at that point, completely avoiding the mud pits. While is was good news, the "road" beyond it was a mix of decent gravel, rocky, suspension-destroying bounce-fest, and completely washed out. Driving solo (I'd prefer to have another vehicle with me but I don't have anyone with whom I can wheel around here) was a bit concerning, but gotta have faith in the truck and my abilities, I guess.

So, got a good 2-hour ride in some moderate terrain, and was able to completely flex out the suspension. The 2.5" Halos/Elkas handled everything pretty well, really, with only one bit of rubbing. Of course, just before the exit on what was supposed to be a one-way trail, the road devolved into a winding and narrow bobsled course, which I opted not to take until I PPF the paint. Queue backing up the trail for a bit... The second one-way route ended in a massive rock blocking the trail with a narrow escape off to the side that might have been okay, but I was concerned about making back up all that if there was something else blocking the road closer to the exit. So, it ended up being an out-and-back. I left it in 4H for most of the difficult part of the trip, but I usually wait for 4WD until the 2WD fails. It probably would've done most of it in 2WD, too, especially outbound, which was mostly flat or downhill.

OnX Offroad was super helpful on this as it hasn't really been routed before. I'll get to that soon. I should probably go in for another alignment tho... I also learned that I need more rear lift (scraped the hitch a few times) and better offroad lighting.

This screen capture doesn't really show the scale or depth very well, but this track isn't quite wide enough for the whole rig... I didn't get much still photography from this trip, so I guess I need to go back...
